Superchargers are just mean lookin.

The whine, and the instant boost! But I do hate that it runs off the crank.

lol yah i know someone who always reverse parks and he always tries to backfire so he slowly moves back on the gass and slightly letting go of clutch...get it? lol so hes basically in the same spot moving like an inch back and forth revving trying to get his car to backfire while parking....i call it....THE NOOB lol

My friend has to do that all the time, but it's cuz his car is just awkward. go light on the throttle and you don't go anywhere, but stomp it for a quick second and it guns hard.

@Mishy: Just glanced at your website (sig tempted me lol). does this mean you're against team girlracer?

there's nothing wrong with loving the sound of your blow off valve, or even accellerating a bit just to hear the sound on decel.. its great when your next to a riced out car and your pulling up to a stop light and they look over because they're not sure what that strange noise was coming out from your car. i even had a guy in a honda ask me if i was running nitrous (he thought i was purging) on my 240. i just laughed at him and drove away.

hahahah that is hilarious wtf is dat whistling noise coming from. Really didnt noe that motors could whistle loud as hell. But hey it sure sounds nice in a distance.

hmmm if i had to pick i'd go turbo. since you can adjust the power output of it more then you can a super charger. even thought a turbo set up requires alot more maintenance and eats up more gas. but hey thats why we love cars right!

I've sat and driven in my brother's 02 wrx with a remap ecu, straight pipe, and a sti turbo in it (and a bunch of other stuff)... i was shocked... the acceleration slapped me silly.... though the turbo lag in the beginning really makes you wait.
I've also sat in a supercharged gen 1 mr2, and the build up of acceleration was incredible.... there was no end in the power delivery until redline...

I dunno.... even though the power output was so different.... I was really impressed by the superchargers simplicity, reliability, and power band. The turbo was fantastic in terms of shear mayhem when the power kicks in..

Personally it depends on driving styles.... i think, my driving style is more in line with the supercharger, rather than the turbo.... The lag just pisses me off sometimes...but im sure with the right (a lot of) tunning-- it would be almost obsolete. Despite being less powerful, the constant unwaivering rush of momentum provided by the supercharger stuck in my mind way more than turbos...

That is saying a lot, because i didnt even drive that mr2; i was just a passenger.

turbo lag can be minimized with a turbo thats mapped for your car as well as supporting mods. the bigger the turbo the more lag but more power. (thats why drag cars that run huge turbo's run nitrous to help spool them up).
