Hmm I see.
I guess its because I haven't seen them blow up as much as after-market ones.
But yeah, thanks for clearing that up for me.

That is probly because people who take the time to put in/buy an aftermarker probly know what they are getting into, so they are a little more careful to make sure it lasts.. Anybody can buy a car with a stock turbo in it and then just run it into the ground without knowing they are doing anything wrong, I think it depends on whether the person knows what he is doing when stressing the engine with a turbo.

Btw does anyone here drive turbocharged cars that could tell me how long they let there car idle before turning it off, I have not clue in general, Id just like guess maybe, I dont have a timer, but i deffinently need to start letting it idle more after driving it.

A minute is more then enough. And you only have to let it cool down if you ran the car hard a couple minutes before. If you were just driving it normally then you dont have to at all.

Turbocharger!.........depends on your car......I would go Turbo for speed thus Racing and sports etc, but on the other hand most superchargers are best with offroad landrovers, hummer might benefit from a supercharger.

I would go with the TURBO.. It has more power as the heat builds up the faster it spools up compared to a supercharger which is belt driven..

Um, i know a turbo is generally best for the car i have and want but i think i would be happier with a supercharger. I think i'd really like having a constant and not having to wait for a spool.
but i'm not sure, i'd reallly have to try both and see which one "feels" best.

depends on what i was doing. if i was needing instant power for short bursts or power low in the rpm band ide go with a super charger.

But if i needed power higher in the rpm band and instant power wasent really nessary ide go with turbo.

A blower provides a fixed amount of boost for a certain amount of RPM so you can predict how your car will respond
but there are 2 kinds are of SC:positive displacement and centrifugal
the positive displacement SC provides a big boost in HP and TQ in the low-end , so you'll be faster off the line
the centrifugal SC does the opposite it provides a big boost in the top-end for a loss in low-end performance ( on a side note, on a B16 when vtec kicks in the centrifugal SC will also "kick in" at around the same time so vtec will be more fun)

A turbocharger has lag and does nothing off the line but provides a HUGE boost in the mid range, and you'll get better efficiency out of your motor and it sounds cool.

But for me, the only thing that'll do is ITB's and the bottle

Uhm I have both well I had both , now i only have the turbocharged cars but planing on getting back and put in one of my car both a turbo charger and supercharger. well when i had the supercharger on my 300zx Z31 it was really fun and pretty powerful i had it set up to run 12psi well that's pretty much my SC could do at the time it was fast responding and acceleration it was amazing but when it comes to top speed which need it most the upper band or higher rpm let me down, well compare to the turbocharged 300ZX Z31 that i still have have. but the thing with turbo charger is the main and common problem was the turbo lag which wasn't much since i had a td04/t3 but the lag is always there even if it is a fraction of a sec I don't like it, but once it kick in it really kicks in. will give you a lot of power compare to a supercharge on my supercharged z31 I had it set up for 310hp with tons of torque and it was running at max of 12psi (amazing acceleration and quick respond) now on my Z31 turbocharged I have 380hp with 385tq running at 14psi (but some turbo lag) I had it running at 440hp but gave me some issues with A/F ratio I can't risk it to blow the engine since is pretty hard to get i have big plans for it. but this time I'm panning on running a bigger turbo like a T67, but to avoid the turbo lag since is a pretty big turbo i will add up the supercharge to make up for the lower band or rpms until the turbo kicks in at its full, trying to look for about 800hp max but set it up to run in the streets 600-700hp. don't wanna wear out the engine or blow it up although this engine can take 500hp max in stock form and modified over 1k. SO when it comes to Superchargers and Turbo Charges each one got its CONS and PROS. see which one will suit you best. and when it comes to Turbo Charges car i don't like the loud blow off valve i always try to keep it as low as i can ( i got it dual recirculated). i like my cars to be sleepers. so you never know when i might creep up. plus to avoid the po-po everytime they hear the blow of valve it looks like it excites them because they go the whole nine yard just to pull you over.

I love turbo's, but I wouldn't mind having both. Compound boost! Like the Hellion Cobra, twin 66mm turbos into the stock eaton supercharger.

A waste in power when you can only put down 50% of it.
