Owning a forced induction automobile, I go for FI but I also love naturally aspirated engines. Nothing beats the sound of my turbo whining on the evo 8 but nothing beats the sound of that terminator screaming past you.

sound..? I hate kids who install bypass valves on their car to make it louder, even though it isnt being used for performance

I know what you mean.. Thats the reason why people don't respect civics, integras, prelude and other hondas because the owner of those cars talk about VTEC a lot.. Yeh its get annoying.. But for my car.. VTEC is okay to talk about.. everyone respects the s2000. hahaha I'm not saying i'm looking down at civic or integra owners with their VTEC.. Mine is the bad boy of VTEC...

No need to hate on the Evo or the VTEC crew. They both have their strong points and weaknesses. But if you want to know which car will win.....I'll put down $500 down on my car and we can take it to the nearest track. Your VTEC might sound cool to you but I won't hear anything since I will only see you in my rearview mirror.

actually, i dont think its preludes or hondas in general.. most of the kiddies who talk about it are refering to their Civics, Teggies and ITRs.. but prelude owners I knew of got respect apart from the 4ws because it has good pull and yeah i know S2K aren't pieces of shit, they are basically the equivalent of a Miata. I still hate the use of the acronym VTEC and i-VTEC cause all those lil ricers and online fake racers say its superior to MIVEC, VVTi, SVT, CVVT.. etc. *annerism & death*

Not when you are on a tight budget. FI is the way to go.

For me on a tight budget N/A is a much better route to go. If you have all the power and very little suspension to go with it then it definitely isn't the best bang for the buck.

Unless you are talking about stock cars, but again with such a vague question of, "Which is better?" or whatever there is no point in answering. An unlimited amount, pro driving skills and all the time in the world forced induction is probably the best route.

But I doubt anyone has all of that. Even if you have an FI modified (engine swap or modification) car, the car might not have the suspension to keep up with it and you might not have the skill to bring out it's potential.

Driver skill > Car, modification, shit you can buy.

This is the truth. ^^

Dave Coleman said it best when he said, "The loosest nut, is the one behind the wheel".

Even the most horsepower, best suspension, and stickiest tires wont get you anywhere unless you know how to drive. Kids these days talk about 400 whp, and I think its insane, I make 250 to the rear wheels, and I wouldn't want any more. I think the idea of an 18 year old kid behind the wheel of a 400hp car is terrifying, its a loaded murder weapon, and the driver has a license to kill.

Everyone wants a high horsepower figure, but in reality it means nothing. Whats really important is power delivery, and the ability to cope with it. Forced induction, Natural aspiration, both are best suited to certain things, and only a child would fail to understand that. I'm a turbo geek, Ive had a boosted car for 5 plus years now, but when winter rolls in, I hop back in my bone stock integra because what is power when your stuck in the snow?

The drivability of a car is totally compromised when it exceeds its use on the road, which will exceed the experience of young drivers.
