I would disagree that Lelouch is an anti-hero. He's more like a Byronic hero than an anti-hero to me..

Here's a link about Byronic Hero.

As you can see that Lelouch fits most of the necessary criteria to be one.

Anyway, My favorite anti-hero is Sato Tatsuhiro from Welcome to NHK... This guy is obviously lack any redeeming factor that qualify him as a hero.

Guts from Berserk. Intimidating and brutal as hell, yet his heart is always in the right place.

Well, I don't know if there's a thread like this already (Used the search of course, correct me if I'm wrong.), anyway name your favorite anti-hero characters.

In fiction, an anti-hero is a protagonist who is lacking the traditional heroic attributes and qualities, and instead possesses character traits that are antithetical to heroism.

Mine would have to be:

Fudou Akira - Devilman (He just turns completely badass after he absorbs Amon's powers. xD)

Galden - Lords of Lords Ryu Knight (Starts off as a Naraku-type character, yep...He dies and gets revived at last 4 times. >_> Anyway, he shows a lot of character development by the end of the series, and ends up actually being really cool.)

Gatsu/Guts - Berserk (One of the most blood-thirsty protagonists I've ever seen.)

Viral - Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (He has freaking Nobuyuki Hiyama as his VA, how can you NOT like him?! xD)

Jin Hayato - Getter Robo series (One of the most bad-ass mecha pilots ever. He rips the faces off of his enemies.)

Nagare Ryouma - Getter Robo series (One of the few characters in mech anime that show they can kick ass with and without a mech. xD)

Lelouch Lamperouge/Lelouch Vi Britannia - Code Geass (A great strategist, most of his plans pretty much fell into place until the incident with Euphie. Yet, he still kept his cool and didn't end up dieing a pathetic death like Light Yagami.)

Yes, but the incident with Euphie was murder. He went to the meeting planning to trick thousands of Japanese into fighting and dying for his cause. That was a plan for mass murder and probably the individual murder of Euphemia. Then when he gave up his plan and made peace with her he accidentally gave her a geass command to kill the Japanese and went back to his old plan of starting a revolution and killing her way too fast. Lelouch clearlry chose to kill Euphemia instead of capturing her alive, even though capturing her alive would have been just as fast, just as easy, and just as safe for Lelouch and the Japanese. See my new thread in the Code Geass forum called "Mecha Ethics: The Court Martial of Mecha Pilot Walker".

To me Lelouch is more like a villain. For one of the reasons why see my new post in the Code Geass forum called "Mecha Ethics: The Court Martial of Mecha Pilot Walker".
