I am probably more than half way through my life. I see no beauty in ageing, and I dread what might be ahead of me in terms of losing my faculties. I just hope I never get to the stage where I am a burden to my sons.

I agree, I think.
Growing old, the world in front of our eyes, understanding, maturing... it's all part of life and that is what is beautiful. Life.
Besides, the young people these days... they're crazy!
And hey so are the middle aged persons! Crazy! You're all crazy! Get off my property you crazy kids! Stop looking at me like I'm crazy! Ahh!!
Ahh! Scrubs is on in 15 minutes and I wanted to have a shower! Nuuu!

I Find that there is Beauty in growing older, things tend to slow down as bit as you age, and it gives you more time for the finer things in life.
When i was 16-22 i never stopped for anything I was constantly on the move.
Now that i'm older, i take the time to grow a garden, stay home most friday nights, and see my daughter growing up.
Watching the flowers in my garden grow and bloom and die each year.
I take the time now to learn how to cook healthy rather than throw something in the microwave.
I watch the sunrise a lot of mornings and realise all the sunrises i've missed by being a dumb kid. All that neauty i've been missing.
Watching the day break, it's so peaceful and calm.
It's not the same watching the sun set.
When i walk out to get the mail, i feel the wind blowing on my face, and the sun pouring down on me.
And i realise there is so much more beauty in this world and I was missing it.
So growing older has opened my eyes.
There is beauty in wisdom. and peace in slowing down.

Would you really like it to be gone? I could make it if you wish...

There is such thing as beauty in the heart. The more you understand about the world around you, the more you keep in your heart. The beauty lies within your heart, the blood pumping angel/evil spirit. As for beauty in turning old, it depends on what you have experience. Basically physical beauty has nothing to do with being pretty. As old Basou has suggested, beauty through personality is possible. And like young Ed said, "But it's in these trivialities of life that you come to a point and look at your life from a perspective. Maturing and understanding how we're part of the bigger scheme of things truly IS beautiful, but why think about growing old when you have so much to look forward to? You're 15 ~ I say live in the NOW for a bit before life bites you in the arse." Now that is so true. Anyways, I find beauty in the heart. Oh how I love that red and bloody organ that pumps the blood in our body.

I dunno growing old scares me I just don't like the thought of slowly rotting away lol. I like being fun, spontaneous and immature ^ ^. Hopefully age will never take that away from me

I like growing old, it's not really about age. it's about experience. There are things in life which you can only experience once you attain a certain stage. (and i'm not talking about sex or the like)

When you're old, say 50 above, you will probably reflect and realize that "hey, after everything, i'm still here."

If you got the insurance & savings to back up, I don't see why growing old is a scary affair.

eh. i certainly don't find the beauty in turning old... i'm 20 and i feel like i'm ancient already. the ppl on tv now are all like younger than me now. And in 10 years i will be getting wrinkles, saggy skin and medical problems. eh..And then there is kids popping out of my body..and the weight that comes with it .
lol
so at the moment nope. Hopefully that will change when i get OLDER, or i will be a very very angry person. haha

20 is not old, its the peak of attractiveness for women, ask any guy, what they think the hottest age is, they will say 18-25
