Biology and Chemistry Class....How was it?

I'd heard that things were more difficult in college, but it was the same old crap. Even worse, in addition to the same boring routine of repetitive homework/schoolwork, I had to pay to learn nothing.

The sad truth tends to be, unless you go for engineering, health sciences, or something of the like, college really does seem like High School 2.0 until you get into at least your junior year. So yeah, it really does seem like a waste if you aren't going for something very specific...

Such a vast horizon if all you can think about is medical school and engineering. There's something for everyone, people who can't think of any haven't researched enough. Mainly if you ignore super well paid jobs. If you aim for middle class pay you'll certainly be able to enjoy life the way you want.

People lose so much time in so many things, but when it comes to something that could change their lives for something good they aren't even capable of sitting and thinking "Well, perhaps I should dedicate a hundred hours to finding something that will affect my entire life for the better", but instead, they sit and whine as if things will come their way like a baby waiting to the boobs.

Sorry if I didn't convey myself very well. I wasn't trying to say that those are the only fields worth anything, I was just saying that those kinds of fields are pretty much the only ones that will seem difficult right from the get go, engineering especially, as they really try to weed people out in the first year.

I was merely trying to say that if you go into college without any particular tract in mind, just taking a couple general classes, you aren't really going to find very much challenge at first. I was directing my statement towards ishe specifically, with regard to his not really finding college engaging after having taken only a couple classes. For many people with a multitude of interests, it usually takes a couple years before you can even get to more specific concentration oriented courses; taking a handful really isn't going to give anyone a good idea of anything.

So in a way, I was kind of agreeing with what you just posted, but apparently not in a very clear manner.

If I'm ever in need of dire medical attention, the art gallery is definitely the first place I'll go.

If the teacher has notes on powerpoint slides or pdf files, along with practice exams, it helps lessen the inconvenience of them having thick accents.

Or you could always get more guidance through meeting up with your TA or professor during office hours.

Yes, living Found Art will be making a comeback if you can accomplish that. It used to be plumbing or architectural materials were adequate as props. But now that large metropolitan areas are more sophisticated and urbane than the past it makes sense to enlighten and entertain art conniosseurs using humans as a construct. Bravo!

Be sure to take phone pictures and share them with us..... LOL.

I once ran across campus on schrooms screaming "I'M TRAPPED IN ARGON!!!!"

I loved molecular chemistry so much it pulled me out of physics and turned into a career.

My exclusive valency belongs to Linus Pauling, but I celebrate Mendeleev's birthday every year (feb 8) .

Sometimes we stand on the shoulders of giants, pretending we made the ascent alone, reusing the same atoms they drank, and making what was them, what we are. I breathe the same air, eat past pieces of their flesh, and concern myself with the continuity and continuance of the great legacy of their work.

I prefer chem over bio.Only because the professor would tell off-color jokes to a coed class at the end of every lecture.

Chemistry is the gateway into understanding everything. I taught me how everything connected in a beautiful fashion and taught me how to make beer. Biology was boring and a waste of time. Also the moles conversion test was the easiest A I have ever gotten.
