Kimihiro Watanuki is a high school student plagued by yōkai(Spirits), supernatural beings magically attracted to him. The creatures are invisible to others, and as a result he feels extremely burdened by them. When he quite literally stumbles into a shop that grants wishes, his life changes drastically.
The shop is owned by Yūko Ichihara, a mysterious, beautiful witch of many names and esoteric renown. The seemingly all-knowing witch offers to grant Watanuki's wish to be rid of his ability to see spirits. However, in exchange, he must pay a price equal to the power required to grant the wish. Yūko discovers that Watanuki is very skilled with his hands and a hard worker. As a result, Watanuki is forced to perform housework and odd jobs for Yūko until he has done enough work for his wish to be granted.
Shortly afterwards, other characters become involved with Watanuki's position, including his love interest, Himawari Kunogi, and his "rival," Dōmeki. The three become increasingly "friendly," despite the number of times Watanuki becomes annoyed by Dōmeki's calm demeanor.
The animation stlye and art design is a bit old for me but i enjoyed it anyways.
There were many references to other CLAMP series (I.E. Sakura kiminoto [sp?] wand) which were enjoyable.

I thought the manga was better than the anime >__< The manga's art was definitely better but the anime was pretty passable.I like the crossover parts though..and Watanuki,Yuuko and co. are all pretty funny. The second season should be pretty interesting as well..

i like this anime a lot.
i hope there is more to it because i enjoyed watching it.
I cried in the end when Watanuki had to let go of that ghost, but all in all it was a sweet story.
I liked the art and the characters.
i would say 7 out of 10 and i am looking forward to another season of it.

Emo?

Do you care to justify that statement?

I'm trying to figure out the connection between dark and gloomy art(which is completely untrue,I've seen worst) with emo-ness....would you care to explain your statement?

You need to redefine the term "emo" in your own dictionary, dark and gloomy doesn't mean emo. It can in certain contexts... but definitely you need to straighten yourself out.

It's not that u used an offensive word... I throw the term emo around a bit... but if you're going to critique something at the very least, the adjective/noun "emo" could be replaced with something more proper and descriptive.
