I just want to know if this has happened to anyone and I want to apologize in advance if this topic has already been discussed.

Anyway as I am very stressed out, I decided to relax and play PS3 for a few minutes before heading out to my clinicals today. I turned it on and loaded the game and everything, and then out of nowhere it just turned off by itself.. so I'm like.. uhhh weird?

I try to turn it on w/ the controller and it won't... so I was like wtff.. I turned it on manually and the light turned GREEN for a second, turned YELLOW the next second and BEEPED at me while blinking RED simultaneously. I pressed it again and it went back on Standby (red - not blinking) and I turn it on again just for it to turn green, yellow, beep and blink red.

I did a little research online and found that a lot of people are skeptical about this blinking red light of death. These people are IN DENIAL. My ps3 is dead!!!!! It won't turn on. 8 hours later, it still won't turn on, and I'm willing to bet that it won't turn on tomorrow.

I don't know if I have warranty since I got it as a present, and the most sucky part of it is...

MY CALL OF DUTY 4 IS INSIDE THE PS3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please guys... I need some advice. HELP ME OUT!!

Well for the most part new game systems come with a systems warrant for maybe a few months. I don't know what it would be on the PS3. I am sure it will cover certain things and if this is a commen problem checking on the Sony page to find out might help you more. If not, call an Eb or Gamestop in your area to see if they have a way to get the game out at least. Sounds like some bad luck, I had that with the 360 but never heard of it on the PS3.
