When she woke up she finds herself in Fudal Japan and the meet a Hanyo (half-demon) called InuYasha who was under a spell by the priestess Kikyo until Kagome freed him. In a battle the Sacred Jewel resurfaces by coming out of Kagomes stomac, then a crow demon takes the jewel and in an attempt to retrieve it it ends up shattering into thousands of pieces. Now InuYasha and Kagome travel together trying to retrieve all the shard of the jewel before they fall into the wrong hand!
