Cuz its TeH interWebz,

Electronic means of communication always degrades proper writing style etiquette
If you are writing an essay or short story for example, that's a different story.

Ah , commas . I don`t know if I`m using them right . >.< However , I do notice when people are
neglecting commas or sprinkling commas everywhere like one would on a cupcake .

Lots of commas separated by randomly dispersed letters.

Honestly, you don't feel like you've overused them in this post?

On a side note when I used to grade papers the best way to spot plagiarism was to look for correctly used semicolons.

Hah! That's excellent. I will be grading papers next quarter. I'll keep that in mind.

It's not too hard to use commas. I use it when it's necessary.

I hated commas, apostrophes, semicolons etc when i was in high school...we used to have to take these English mastery tests where it was all about just commas or apostrophes, semicolons etc. and put them in sentences. If we missed one we had to take it over and over again, we wouldn't be able to pass the class if we didn't pass those....

I am a stickler for punctuation; I used to help proofread articles at my work. I think that the use of cellphones has seriously hampered the skills of the youth in the US and have helped to make them unable to write a complete sentence using actual words or proper punctuation (instead of net-speak or abbreviations for everything). Punctuation is important to allow a reader to know the state of mind of a sentence or paragraph, and without it, the reader's comprehension is diminished.

What bugs me more, is when someone constantly uses A instead of AN when it should be AN. It drives me batty because when you read the sentence it sounds completely retarded, like you've begun drooling mid sentence and beating your chest with your wrist. Riles me up to the point that I completely ignore the poster if they do it.
