Although Luffy and Natsu are alike, the storyline would be better with pirates and marines not with a guild so-called Fairy Tail cause of characteristic types of Luffy and Natsu.

I don't think Luffy and Natsu are alike I agree that they have the same looks but their inner personality is not the same. Luffy is just stupid and does not understand anything except someone explains to him, Natsu on the other hand is not stupid. but his face looks stupid-
