I agree. Books are better than the movie. Maybe because when you read a book, you picture it in your mind to see what happens. But once there is a movie, you go see it then your just like : yeahh that movie sucked the book was way better. Like the book Twilight. I imagined Edward Cullen a different character......... not that one guy from Harry potter 4. So you want to pick out your own characters and enjoy them. :]

BOOKS PROVIDE A COMPLETE DETAIL ABOUT THE STORY.. in movies, the story is somewhat manipulated..

A book is always better than a movie.

Why?

Books make you use imagination, they sprout ideas and thoughts. They make you think about the storyline and characters! (Plus it's easier to get attatched to the story and characters.)

Movies have a lot of downs. You sit idly barely needing to imagine anything. They also cut off parts of the books they are made from, including important points.

I's a good idea but the bad thing is there will be no originality and also I hate the part that they cut some scene and change it.

.books are more detailed than a movie... some part of it are missing or being changed when they're going to make a movie of it.. ^^ but when they turned it to a movie... it's also cool. but... i hope they will not remove a part or change it. lolz... ^^

Books are almost always better than the movies, movies leave out too many parts of the book usually and end up taking out important parts of the plot, some of the funniest part in the book, or little moments that just made the book so amazing.

The only exception I have ever seen to this is Lord of the Rings. I did see the movie first, but the books were confusing at parts. The print was tiny and the whole thing put together was 1000 pages! But I can excuse that because J.R.R Tolkien wrote the books for himself not for others.

Lord of the Rings will always remain one of my favorite movies, the actors had such feeling and the castles, creatures, forests, and everything was just so real and amazing!! No movies these days are like that. They'll just pick a famous actor to make more money, not caring if they don't look like any of the characters in the books at all!

It really annoys me when they make some books into movies because sometimes if I like the movie, it destroys the image I had of the character when I read the book. I completely hate it when that happens because then when I think of the character I can only think of the actor's appearance.

What you said is very true my friend!! ^__^ Just like "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Prince Caspian" Caspian do not have long hair but in the movie he is.

Most movies now days that are based on books are not well made. I can name a few exceptions: Chronicles of Narnia, Because of Win Dixie (I think I spelled that right), Ella Enchanted (It wasn't match to the book, but they still did an exceptional job), Harry Potter Movies were not horrible... and that's all I can think of now at the moment. It's kind of sad that there are not that many directors, who can make the book come alive. I will say that some movies completely fail due to the fact that the books were poorly written...Twilight... anyway its fine for a book to become a movie only if the director is willing to put effort into making it a movie people will want to see over and over again.
