leave them be, they'll grow out of it... and most don't have the balls to really kill themselves... just try to stop them if you think they're going to do something unusually unusual than what they usually do..

I think I know one or two people who seem really troubled, emo even, and yes, I try to help. I think its wrong not to, its obvious they have problems at home it might even be a mental condition. I would hope someone would help me if I turned emo. XD

I've never really done anything big to help someone like that, I don't know them that well. But I hope that the simple things help. Just saying hi, smiling, a hug, making meaningless conversation when it looks like they're sad, or just telling people to "shut up" if someone makes fun of him/her.

I mean would you really want to just ignore them, think they're kidding, believe they'll "grow out of it", and the next day find out they had committed suicide? I would want to know that I'd at least tried to help them.

Emoness is a fad.

If those people want to kill themselves, by all means your opinions are worth little. True emo people shun out the world. So they can't even have the possibility of having friends. Let them do what they want, and when they realised that emoness isn't cool and people hate them for it, then they'll change.

And for the people who really are suicidal, best you can do is tell a grown-up and get them sent to the funny farm.

I find that idiotic -_-

Yes, for some people its a "fad" but who made it that way? "True emos" didn't go around spreading the good word, it was people like you who believe its funny, and people having problems and committing suicide is just not funny .

Even if it is some kind of fad for a lot of people, I wouldn't consider it a fad when people start committing suicide and cutting themselves.

When people start committing suicide and cutting themselves, they need to go to the 'house'.

I don't find it funny. I find it retarded. What do most high schoolers know about pain anyways?

I'm not saying all don't so don't give me lackluster examples. You know why there are little emo kids in college? Its because no one gives a shit if you die or not.

You don't experience more pain as you grow older, there are ten year olds who have gone through more then you can imagine, things that would fill our nightmares...and you ask what high schoolers know about pain?!

Evidently your just one of the lucky ones who hasn't experienced something that could make you comprehend why someone would commit suicide. Misery and depression spares very few, regardless of age!

I'd just call them stupid but it's their life so they can do whatever they want. My friends are the types that go "don't tell me what to do" no matter what.

RAWR!
fine
*hisses, spits, scratches curtains*

I want every emo person to die die die, don't make friends with emos in the first place and you won't have to decide to help them live or not!

(edit: The above is sarcasm in case you didn't notice. I can't even express in words how stupid that sounded even as a I typed it, and yet thats exactly what so many of you are getting at...poor world)
