awww~ well it's really difficult to admit something like that in the first place so i commend you on that part maybe you should see if some of your friends wuld come with you so you wouldn't be so shy in the first place~ Don't worry~ trust in the Lord and he shall fulfill the desires of your heart!

Proverbs 3:5and 6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge him and he shall make your paths straight!

Next time just go for it! The house of God welcomes all newcomers and everyone there is a brother and sister in Christ so you have nothing to fear!

Haha, ya I am in concurrence with ruki, I am a tad bit late in my response, but no Christian church would shut you out, or criticize you, just have faith and pray that all will be well. Haha, we all get nervous when it comes to sharing our beliefs.

Sometimes being shy, the thing to solve it is to either go with friends, or alone. For me, I'm rather shy too, but I kind of hate to admit this (only come to accept this after so many of my friends tell me that) You see, my problem was that I like to spend time with the Lord, but I know that just by my own strength isn't enough. The church was created to lead and guide the sheep in fellowship, and teach more about the word of god, that through that, learn more about the person jesus.

But I don't really go for caregroups or ministry, I just have some nameless reluctance to approach and or socialize in large groups, do sharing or stuff. Therefore, rather than go with my friends, I choose to go church alone, because nobody recognizes me if I keep changing seats every week. This is because when I go to church, I sing like nobody's business, and I mean every word I sing. I can tear up and sniffle all I want, because the time I give to my Lord is private. I copy down notes that the pastor says, and they are really like lecture notes, but I don't care. Whereas if I chose to go with friends they'll see and wonder why I cry so much singing to the Lord? (tears of joy or sadness or just gratefulness)

That's why, anime_fanatic, don't worry about feeling embarassed. In reality, people don't remember others they've seen. In fact, it doesn't matter what they might think. Even if it's a school church or an outside church, if you feel like you need to listen to the word, go for it.

The regret is greater not going, than going. Because the word of the Lord gets better and better, if you don't go to listen, you won't know. :)

Well, I think that the most regretable thing that I ever did is being too quiet and shy in school. But in my family and of my circle friends, I am known for being comical, inquisitve, and sometimes a bit talkative person. I just don't know how to cure myself of the shyness and become the person I am. Without being shy. Because it is very hard for me.

With Jesus we don't need regrets. I don't really like this thread... Part of being forgiven and free from sin is knowing that you are free from it.
