I really enjoyed the City of Heroes trial. Making characters = too much fun.
Mabinogi was nice; it had some pretty novel ideas. like the color dyes, strategy-based hacking and slashing, if that makes sense, and the campfire songs!
But I'm a FFXI fan. Don't think I'm going to be on the FFXIV train, though. Too busy for MMOs nowadays. *sigh*

My favorite MMO game is eRepublik.
It's browser-based. It's pretty cool. You can rule a country, or run a business empire.
Also, it's interesting because there are no NPCs, so all your employees and subjects are real players. |
