And by "twist" I mean a Japanese backdrop in a Zombie apocalypse, my apologies if you didn't understand what was being said... and you didn't see the cliche' character archetypes, like that gun otaku (or should I say military otaku), and ect? ... Well it really says somthing where a person, such as yourself, goes through all the spiel to flame another's posts to express thier distaste over somthing they couldn't just simply speak in thier own post... lacking in the creativity and grammar skills neccessary to do so...

the anime news network said the manga will be back February 9Th 2010 and that an anime is now in the works. hope this helps

I got quite a kick out of it. what there was for the manga anyways. sure the characters are shallow and the plot is... lacking but let's face it. there should be two reasons one approaches zombie related things. one there's someone hot in it and/or two there's zombies to be killin!
For me it's pretty cut and dry here, Busujima is a reasonably hot character and the brutality in the manga itself is pretty exceptional, both what get's dealt to and dealt by the zombies. The mangaka's take on zombies was kinda interesting at least. most zombie movies they respond to a lot of outside stimulus, these ones barely respond to anything but sound and some limited visual ability. but the zombies have the one thing going for them MASSIVE numbers! who needs accuracy when you have a million tries to get it right?
If there really turns out to be a HotD anime you'd better believe I'll find a way to check it out!

The manga is pretty pathetic, but I'm slightly hopeful about the anime. Who knows, the action and music--if done right--might make up for the horrible story and characters.
