I don't know, it does seem as though the term "love" is being used rather loosely ....

When people are saying "I love you" on their first or second date, you know theres something wrong..

I'm still a teenager, so I don't really know...
but from my experience, it's all about lust. -___-" The girl has to be hot, the guy has to be hot. If not, then there's no kissing, touching, etc. that actually connects them together more than anything. Kinda sad.

And I agree with Physicx. The statement "I love you" is a very overrated statement.

It depends on your definition of love ^.~ in psychological terms Love, lust, dating ect. are all put into one category so Love is completely possible even if its just for some small time XD

now then if your talking about the more famous version of love, that love that lasts forever, the whole: I love you and want to be with you till we die, get married blah blah blah and screw sex until we are ready.

Well thats possible too but still while we are in our teen years (for us who are) Love can be found but like said before, its more likely lust.

Basicially saying 'I Love you' when dating for only a week or more thats defined as puppy love, when your attached to someone but not quite in love with them =/ now If you happen to have been dating them since you were 16 and now your 22 and you have had sex one or twice and still dating and your not rushing to sex... well then Love is there :p maybe...

In short, if your under the age of 25 Don't even worry about finding love I mean damn you barely made it through 1/4th of your natural life, XD

Love or Romance is "never" necessarily dead - unless all the population within the globe view it that way.

ur 16 buddy wait acouple years. All teenagers want at your age is the "lust" and not the romance-be-with-you-forever type of love.

Exactly! "Anymore", wot? Stop talking like an old man.

I may not be so old myself, but it doesn't matter if this is the case generally or not. You can still do some romancing of your own.

PEOPLE theres LOVE than theres TRUE LOVE. I think love is the whole superficial dating thing (lust) and true love is the kind that was back in the day with chilvary, where theres a real deep connection and a real eternal tie between two people that BOTH believe in. Sex is also skipped right into it which actually destroys any kind of true love between people, i see it all the time.
Definately, I LOVE YOU is only a phrase now. I think real love, people should now say "I truely love you" cause u know its real if the guy especially says that.

In this time of day the word "love" is over used~ i have had the word love thrown at me many times and at the end they basically say in there own words they didnt mean it.....the word "love" i dont even consider to take into truth if its said to me, but when i say it i do mean it

Love isnt just a word to toss around but you know when your in love or if the person loves you even if they do not say it at all. You would do anything in your power for that person and in the same he would do anything in his power for you.

Love hasnt died out it just taken a turn around from our day in age~ For example in the early ages the expression of love was waiting (and it is in this time of day but i really dont see it often). And some was a rush also (forced marriages)

Love never dies out

Very true... love isn't love anymore; it's like . You see third and forth-grades strolling around holding hands and saying that they are dating. How fake...

I think love is the emotion that makes you give everything you have for someone else, especially in bad situations. At least that's what I get from my sources. I've never experienced true love before, nor have I told anyone about any of my juvenile crushes and whatnot. I'm keeping my mouth shut until I find the person I want to be with.

Also... I think that the reason why not a lot of people have any reason to give love anymore (because love exists; it just doesn't want to show itself) is because there are not a whole lot of emergency situations in the average middle-class family, and relationships kind of reach a state like limbo, and nobody really makes much of a move toward anything. Life goes on... without love. And everyone accepts it.
