The spirit of the great Ken Ishikawa, the late author of "Getter Robot", lives again in one of his latest works: "Getter Robot Hien - The Earth Suicide"!
The new comic series, published exclusively on the web by Gentosha, was one of Ishikawa's latest projects and was to be announced few day after that doomed 15 November of the last year. D/Visual, too, was preparing for the coming when the news of the author's death came through.

Now "Getter Robot Hien" lives again by the hands of a host of young Gentosha authors.

More details the next week!

Note 1: D/Visual is, basically, Dynamic Pro International. So it's 100% official.

Note 2: A "Week" for D/Visual may means a LOT more for us... They can be as slow as an unit with D on Water in Deep Water.

Why did I even post this topic? Hardly anyone on CR knows anything about mech anime, besides Gundam SEED and Wing. >_>

acutally SURPRISE i know about this manga and im following it although its taking so bloody long well i think Shin Getter looks stronger than this new one becasue that one is all about melee whilst this one centres around real guns

Despite how nice it is to know that Getter Robo isn't dead yet, I'm pretty sure this belongs in the manga section.

I should really get into Getter Robo.

Only experience I've had with it is in SRW, A.C.E. 3, and the first volume of the original manga.

Many would prefer the BS of Gundam (or Macross, for that matter) than the BS of other super robot shows.

Meh, I like the new design...I was getting tired of Shin Getter (Too much SRW and ACE 3. XD)

It looks like Neo Getter + Shin Getter + A few Gundams to me. xD

Only reason I said that was because it didn't exactly shout out "Getter!" to me.

Personally I'd go with Getter-1, which doesn't appear too much in SRW.
