So I assume many people who have joined this club like lolita also (just assuming)..many people try to put Hime gyaru into the lolita subculture...tell me why or why not it should be a in the lolita subculture (please consider both the gyaru and lolita handbooks (on lj))

It's not part of the lolita sub-culture. There is clearly an emphasis on looking mature which is the total opposite with the lolita style. However some of the pieces could be mistaken for hime lolita. (which I'm also a big fan off). The lace, thrills and bows and delicate pastel colours are apparent in both styles, so people tend assume the style is derived from sweet lolita or hime lolita. Sometimes it can be hard to tell the styles apart, the second picture for example, in my opinion - could be either sweet lolita or hime gyaru.

like the person above me said, lolita and hime is quite the opposite thing, even though they're pretty much the silmiar fluffy, pink style, but hime is all about the elegant and uses alot more diamonds, pearls and massive bows and flowers, plus acting spoiled and rich and pretty and all paris hilton(ish thing i guess?) and to comparison, lolita rather is too much like a playing doll and too cutesy and have too puffy arms which hime usually wear tight sleeves

personally i like hime better << i guess it has to do with age lol gosh i'm a gran
