Going to Korea
|
well! many korean lovers would love to go to Korea, but what are your plans when you get there.. i mean is it lika many japanese lovers here where they want to go to Japan for anime and culture(uhhhh)??? I lived in Korea for five years.. yeah sure they have some places like:
- COex mall(smaller than Roppongi Hills in Japan thou) - Everland(amusement park yeah sure. they have castle exactly like Disneyland... whoops no that's Lotte World. nvm) - DMZ(awesome! i see North Korean guards and learn some history) - Jeju Island(not sure...i just went there once) Some of the places are like smaller scale version of Japan except different culture and other stuff... and im sure there are few more places to go have fun.. like downtown in Seoul.. now... let's just discuss about Korea... ----------------------------------------------------------- if this is duplicated thread, please lock it.. |

I grew up watching lot of Arirang and korean dramas... and so on... but I dont really know much about it thought...although europeans dont really know how industrialized or developed it is. they think china and japan are like the only asian industrialized places. I have the RED tshirt that I wear sometimes.. I think koreans will know what Im talking about...

which korea? north or south?
if you'd take north korea then here are some basic guidelines: 1. always stick to your tour guide 2. obey your tour guide 3. never take pictures of the impoverished or the poor 4. never say youre american, canadian is fine 5. if youve shown your US visa, at all cost look innocent! 6. dont stare at the guard or their AK-47s 7. in panmonjeom, demilitarized zone, never cross the thin red line that stands between both countries (remember the korean war isnt over yet, they just signed a cease-fire not a peace treaty) 8. do not take photos of people eating 9. do not mingle with women traffic enforcers (not unless theyre off-duty, its ok) 10. Be good grooming! comb your hair, shave your beard! it is very unethical if you have uncombed hair 11. always wear a Kim il-sung pin 12. if you are in the tower of junche idea... never take photos of dead pigeons on the balcony as for south korea: just take it as if you are in japan.. its a very nice place, seoul almost looks like new york. well thats all I know in accordance to my experience |
