oh and a good book is "To Kill a Mockingbird" -- a real classic lol.

BFOHBFSNGOHDFSNHBFDS OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD YES.

I WORSHIP that book. It's fantastic. <333333 I own a few copies of it, actually: some paperback ones and then a gorgeous 40th anniversary edition hardback.

The Great Gatsby is absolutely amazing as well. <3~ I have a poster of the book's cover.

^ lol you seem to like reading :D

---

subject: maths

q.: split each of the following in the given ratio (hehh i forgot how to do them)

a) £84 in the ratio 2:5

tell me how you did it-workings :)

you get 3 marks
Posted 8/30/07
x/84 = 2/5
5x = 168
5x/5 = 168/5
x = 33.6

Thus, 33.6:84 = 2:5

Well...that's what I think. I might be wrong. <=\
You should stay on the safe side and ignore me. =P
Because...maybe you're suppose to split it...I'm confused...

I love "The Great Gatsby" although the ending really depressed me

Anotehr really good novel of the same time period is "The Sun also Rises", a great book about bull-fighting and romance

edit: wow and I just double-posted...I am getting sloppy! Sorry =(

The Sun Also Rises is wonderful. I love lost generation literature. There is just something so personal and direct about Hemmingway...

Extract from "Dracula" by Bram Stoker

With a wrench, which threw his victim (Mina Harker) back upon the bed as though hurled from a height, he turned and sprang at us. But by this time the professor had gained his feet, and was holding towards him the envelope wich contained the Sacred Wafer. The count suddenly stopped, just as poor lucy had gone outside the tomb, and cowered back. Further and further back he cowered, as we, lifting our crucifixes, advanced. The moonlight suddenly failed, as a great black cloud sailed across the sky; and when the gaslight sprang up under Quicey's match, we saw nothing but a faint vapour.

can someone give me ideas on what can happen next, my imagination aint that good..
Posted 9/6/07
=> How about Quincey lets the match burn down and burns his fingers, dropping the lamp.
=> Then the count can take his chance to slip away.
=> Chase ensues.

... you fill in the blanks and make up the rest.
