Nice! Dude, I'm o.k with fabric, but I couldn't imagine where to start if I tried on one of these. Whats been your most challenging cosplay so far?

The one i'm working on right now being a gundam. I'm not using tissue boxes or paper machet or cardboard.

...I'm using fiberglass. -___-;; The fumes when mixing it are very hazardous, and touching the resin when catalyzed liquid form will give you severe chemical burns unless you wear nitrile gloves. i usually make cardboard as the mold, wrap the fiberglass around it, and then put a little cloth on the inside where the cardboard is so that way even if i sweat it will mostly be absorbed in the cloth. I'm using o-rings from binders to hold some of the joints in place.

the costly part is the paint though. Automotive paint or bust. xD

lol sorry for the late response back. things've been hectic over here. xD

I'll have it completed hopefully by next year's anime expo.

I'll take more pix of the development of the cosplay, but i won't release those to the public til the cosplay is finished and i've actually gotten the cosplay out to a competition or on cosplay.com.

I know even if i show tutorials 99% of people won't do it, but it's the fact 50% of those 99% might actually pretend to be me even before the cosplay is finished and try taking credit.

But allow me to give you a hint: Shirakiku chopsticks + hotgluegun = disposable makeshift 'skeleton structure'.
