i was wondering if anyone has played it, if so, do you recommend it?

listen buddy, dont ask if people recommend games here, everyones just gonna be really biased. check out game ratings on Gamespot.com. trust me, youll get a better review there.

i have played and completed eternal sonata i think its an excellent rpg game for beginners, its not too difficult you can easily walk though the game and complete it, i personally love the "everyone get EXP" idea so that you dont have to worry about mixing teams around to level them up, i think the storyline was imaginative and quite educational about Choplin and the animation was actually very good and quite beautiful in some ways

the only major draw back is (and only people who have completed will know this) is the fact the storyline builds up speed and then suddenly hits a brick wall and stops without warning and makes you wonder why

i would recommend buying it 2nd hand or at a sale...i did got mine for £20 lol

Heard of this game and I've been meaning to play it for a long time since the artwork and plot intrigues me. However, I don't have any access to an Xbox 360 as of right now let alone know anyone that owns this game.

Nothing like playing as a famous composer in his dreams before dying, rofl.

Not...really.

It's a beautiful game--don't get me wrong. And it's generally fun to play, but the story is boring, most of the characters aren't that interesting and the ending is BAD.

The game is pritty good but short, if you are an avg. RPG player that don't use any guide you will get through the game within 20-25 hours.
If you do use a guide it will take you around 30-35 because then you didn't skip the final dungeon before the last boss.
Q: why would it take so long if you do the extra dungeon? A: well in that dungeon you will be attacked by monsters that is 2x-5x harder then monsters you have meet before? and they can also kill you if you arn't good on clicking guard.

Oh on the otherside if you thought that playing through the game was easy? then you sould try start it "Encore Mode" wich is basicly you will have to beat the game again from lvl 1 but this time the enemys will have 200% HP and 1.5x Damage and Defence.

Me myself have already beaten the game in normal and Encore and gotten all the achievements for the game ^^ and it wasn't easy.

It was a'ight. Not really my thing, but I didn't mind it, and there were some fun parts. Not to mention the graphics were beautiful, and I loved being able to play it with the original Japanese voices.

I'd recomend it. It's got an interesting plot and the fights are very intersting (think rushed strategy). I also like the little Chopin bio bits, but I wish they weren't in the middle of interesting cut scenes. On another note, the cut scenes can be very long and are pretty frequent so beware!
