Whenever my dad gets really mad at me he locks my door and turns off the power in my room. (usually at night)

its true, try convincing a 4 year old that hitting is wrong just by talking. they dont respond to that. a combonation of punishment, a bit of pain, and talking is what works best, from all that ive hear.

thats precisely why i think you should need a license to have children. take a course, pass a test, or they are forcibly taken from you.

and i hope if you have kids, and actually BEAT them (spanking them, a smack to the face etc is alright i think, so long as you dont fuck the kid up) i would love to see you eviscerated slowly.

Yeah, my sister is a nurse and she tells me crazy stories of what she runs into. I'm with you 100% on the whole needing a liscence for kids. These stories aren't even funny haha what stupid parents, they're horrible and make you want beat the shit out of the parents. The other day, she had a kid die from rabies because her white trash mom ignored the kid when she said she was bit by a bat in their attic. The kid was four years old, but the mom didn't bother bringing her in till it was too late. I don't think I could handle a job like that... I'd lash out and attack the worthless parents.

Kids don't give a rat's ass whether what they did was wrong or not, and calmly explaining it to them won't work. They're not little adults (though a small handful may damned close). Putting them in fear of pain will keep them from misbehaving. All a lecture will do is let the kid "sweet, i'm getting away with it." I do agree a child shouldn't be struck anywhere other than the rear, or maybe a slap if the situation warrants it.

I think manual labor is great form of punishment, but not everyone has the same access to it. I grew up (at least for a decent while) out in the country, so there was always pain in the ass work that needed to be done. I don't see how kids in suburbia can be threatened with work as easily.

whats funny is when the kid hits the parents i saw a white woman get slapped by her own kid and all she said was "honey hitting is wrong, dont do it again" so he did it again she said, " i said dont do that, dont make me take away your gameboy."

if it was my kid ohh they would have got in alot more trouble than a empty threat

And that is why you spank your kids.

i think it depends on the age of the kid. little kids hit, its what they do. so you take away what they enjoy, send em to some place (not their room, thats too fun. maybe like...the doghouse.). if that doesnt work, THEN spank.

however, as kids age, they realize its wrong, and aslo what they can get away with. thats when you start giving the spanking, give em a nice tranquilizer dart in the neck maybe, or cut their fingernails too short (i hate that a lot, for some reason). make them feel slight pain, and SUFFER for their wrongdoings. make em bored, make em aggrivated, and make em remember it so they wont try that shit again.

Give the kid paper cuts inbetween their fingers . They'll never do anything bad ever again.

or not.

I am a firm believer in spanking a child to set them straight. I have run into too many prick children with prick parents. If my child(ren) ever act up, they're getting a hard spankin. Then I'll tell them to stop crying before I spank 'em again. That's how I was raised.

at a young age, spank your kids

at a medium age, with hold luxuries - by this time they'll be conditioned to spanking

at an older age, with hold privelages - by this time they'll be more concerned about hanging out with friends, having access to a car, as well as their curfew

I'm a firm believer in B. F. Skinner's behavioral modification theories and reinforcement procedure.

Negative reinforcement and punishment are very difficult to associate with the poor behavior - on the part of the subject being... trained, that is.
