Definitely Sayonara Piano Sonata. It was so emotional and inspiring, that is amazing, since the series is quite short. ALL MY FEELS.

I've been reading Highschool Debut, it's really funny and cute, has moments of sweet and 'awwwww', and a bit of drama and angst. I give the series a 10 out of 5 stars; and hope that it will get an anime adaptation.

Dawn of the Arcana:

I'm surprised at how much I like this! The characters are really engaging, and I find myself getting really engrossed in the story. At first it looks like a basic "arranged marriage, they hate each other but then they come to love each other" plot (one has to wonder why that's so common, though). But then it starts getting interesting with political struggles and royals who actually do something (though the characters in Goong* (Princess Hours) aren't to be blamed for not doing anything, because of the modern setting). Reminds me of Story of Saiunkoku. The most recent 2 in NA (9&10) have reminded me of Romeo x Juliet as well.
* I started reading that manhwa. I got to volume 9 before I started getting bored with the plot. I looked up the full length and at the time it was 24 vol.s and ongoing. I just said "screw it" and decided to watch the drama instead.

Cirque du Freak:

This is a Japanese manga based on a novel series from the U.K. These books were my favorite when I was in middle school, and I went back to read them again as the manga was being released here. They hold up to the nostalgia so, so well. The manga art does a lot for the story, especially regarding my favorite character. The style is perfect for this story.
It's starts off about a boy and his friend, who are horror fans and just regular children. They find out about a mysterious circus that's in town and they go... Spoiler for the first book, the main character, Darren, becomes a vampire. The rest of the series is about his travels with the vampire who blooded him (who ends up being like a father figure) and other vampires. The story really gets going in volume 4. It's full of twists and characters you'll love (and then they die), and amazing moments, and all that good stuff.
It's amazing how well this translates to a shonen manga. I don't think the author himself is an anime fan, or was before the series became popular in Japan and was made into the manga. And it is really popular in Japan. I have suspicions that certain mangaka have read and were influenced by this series.

Soulless:

This is another thing based on one of my favorite book series. It's not a Japanese manga, but I felt like mentioning it here because it's so good. The art is amazing and the story is, well, one of my favorite book series.
I have to say: If you like Black Butler at all, and you haven't read this, you are missing out so much. Anyone who hasn't read this is missing out, but especially if you like that sort of sense of humor, fancy Victorian settings, somewhat-creepy supernatural mystery, pretty pretty characters, etc.
It takes place in a world where vampires and werewolves exist, have integrated into society, and everyone knows about them. What some don't know is that there are people like the main character, Alexia, who can neutralize supernaturals by touching them. She's called a preternatural, and she can do that because she has no soul. She gets tangled up in a vampire issue after she kills one in self-defense (with a hair accessory, I might add). And then all sorts of awesome ensues.

Black Butler:
I know you've heard of it. Just don't think you really know it if you've only seen the anime. The manga is a thousand times better.
