huh, when my friend ran away, she ended up getting raped, so i don't think its a good idea. but i must admit there have been times where i just want to disappear for a few days

Yeh, Sometimes I just get tired of the way things are and feel like leaving, not telling anyone, no note or anything, just pick up and leave, and start a new life somewhere else from the beginning. That would be nice. Maybe I'll do it someday.

I've ran away a few times, Once i didnt prepare wen i took off, i left everything so i had 2 go back.
Da 2nd time i had bags ready 2 go, so i took off 2 my grandparents house. My mom found me(more like my grandparents ratted me out cuz dey thought my mom wood miss me) & brought me back.
My 3rd time i had bags ready again, & took off 2 my friends house, he helped me out as much as he could, he even offered 4 me 2 move in wit him permentally & i agreed. Bt i did sumthin stupid, i left my cell @ home & let 2 friends now were i was @, & my "father" used it agaisnt me callin all my friends askin were i was. Wen he called my friends house, my friend lied 4 me & said i wasnt there. Bt my "father" knew it was a lie cuz, 1 of my friends told him were i was. My "father" threatened 2 call da police 2 report him as a kidnapper. I didnt want my friend 2 get in trouble, So i went back home.

I didnt read much of the posted comments, but I feel that running away from home was made to seem common by the media. I dont know guys, I just see the programs that come out of the TV, it always shows that parents dont understand their kids and that they run away and stuff. Totally stupid. Poor girls run away and end up in porn movies and all kind of drugs in their systems. I was blessed and had a wonderful family, I guess I cant understand the pain some people have because of their family (Abuses). But I still think, the media, should promote understanding , not "IM RUNNING AWAY TO CALI CUZ MY DAD DOESNT LIKE ME HAVING SEX WITH MY BOY FRIEND!" Although I do admit we have a big problem of abuses and domestic abuse here in the states. I think I read some where that every 6 minutes a women experiences some sort of domestic abuse here. I certainly cant feel the pain of these women (Im NOT a women, bad pun!), but concerning teens, running away is a bad choice. There are millions of times worse people out there than the hated and abusive family member you think you have. Stay home, stay safe, try to heal stuff between you and your family, and read BOOKS! I think like only 3% of the states reads books or somethng. It really not as bad as you think it is with your family. If you think you have a abusive life, CHANGE IT! I know, easier said than done, but running away is a death sentence for most people, DONT DO IT!

unless your parents are seriously beating/ abusing you.... it really is not worth it... if your under 18 the best you can hope for is minimum wage... and that is not a living wage... stay at home graduate high school... then go to college far away (when you come home they will really apriciate you)

Yes I've done it, I don't recommend unless you can survive on your own.

i did once when i was small and had the smallest most stupid brain around.
i went home like 10 minutes later and acted like i never packed
