Haha, why would you run away? Why would you leave a place where you get fed, clothed and sheltered? Well, it's understandable if your parents are abusive or something like that. It's easier to run away if you have a friends place you can stay without questions being asked, too.

yeah. a couple of times.. but when I think about it thoroughly... where the hell am I going to go? no cash, and friend's parents probably won't even let me stay over.

I was grounded a lot. I would just sneak out of the window at night.
As for running away, no.

If you are abused at home, you should definitely run away- to the police or to someone you trust. However, if you're just a bratty kid throwing a tantrum because your parents told you to clean up the mess you made, go to your damn room and be happy you have it so easy.

Parents would love to run away from you too, but they stay and they tolerate for your sake. You can do the same for them. I promse you that parents feel everything you feel, they just learn to handle things better over time.

I was forced to be an adult when I was barely double digits in age and I still stayed and did what I needed to do until I could no longer do anything to help the situation.

Yes, everyone wants to leave at some point when they feel things are getting too hard or too bad to handle. That is perfectly normal to feel. Just remember it can be much worse somewhere else. So if things aren't actually bad and you're just overreacting, shhhhh...

I run away all the time.

But, I did buy a house out in the country to run away to every week.

If airfare wasn't so fking expensive, I'd run away to Japan a few times a year. But at $1200-$1500 roundtrip, it's kinda hard to do it even once a year right now.

Haha, rebel. For me it doesn't really matter. My family respect my decisions so much that they would let me run away. But you know, there's a difference between respecting someone's choice and stopping someone because you care.

My parents claimed I ran away twice. The truth was that I was very walking-oriented back then. I loved pacing, walking, hiking, trekking, etc. One day, I decided I wanted a challenge. So I cut straight through the wilderness from our house to town. It took several hours before I finally arrived and called for a ride home.

They told me search and rescue were looking for me. I told them where I was going, but I guess they chose to ignore me.

I decided to walk in the opposite direction the next time around, two weeks later, and ended up trekking an even greater distance than the last time. Once again, I told them where I was going. once again, they had everyone out looking for me. Both times because they claim, to this day, that I had run away from home.

I don't go out walking anymore.

I thought about running away sometimes whenever I got angry with my parents, but I would never run away because I would have to leave my bed behind lol.

Not really running, more of leaving the house and gaining my independence.

I once ran away using my money for tuition

I was really exasperated during that time!

My escapade lasted five days and by then when I got back people are now trying to hear my complaints and feelings

He's Shinji Ikari and is from Neon Genesis Evangelion. The Rebuild Of Evangelion movies are more recent than the TV series (which aired around 1995 by the way) and they are more or less a re-imagining and retelling of the original series.
