I don't live with my parents any more, I live alone, so not much point right now.

In the past?

Sure as a young, proud testosterone-filled teen I had entertained wild fantasies of breaking free from my parents, starting my own pioneering story, coming back successful and letting them know that I was a self-made man.

I never went through with it though. Just being pragmatic I realized it would accomplish very little.

The only way to end a nightmare is to turn and face the monsters that give chase.

Let death take me, or let me take my enemies unto death.

Skittering like a crab, or crawling into a hole like a rat is no way to live, and a shameful way to die.

I've considered it but, in the end, it'd be a bad decision unless I feel that I did enough at home to help pay back the effort it cost to raise me. And I need a job or else I'll be living on the street lol

My father managed to pull it off. I come from a long line of musicians on my father's side. Dad ran away from home at age 13 and joined a group of musicians. As a child he found his neighbors to be too discriminatory, small-minded, superstitous, stubborn so he took his musical instrument and left. He stayed on the road for a few years then started his own band. This was back in the 1920's. Dad could play the strings, the brass, woodwinds, the ivory, and it didn't hurt to be a music arranger either. My Dad and aunt did a brief stint in Hollywood as music arrangers for the movie industry before he hit the big time and got hired by Paul Whiteman as both advance man and music arranger for 1 of Whiteman's 4 bands that were on the road. He was doing honest work earning $35,000 annually back in the '30's. Not a bad life for a kid with dreams and ambition. But sometimes hard fought outcomes don't fill the hole that's still in your soul...........and that's another story for another time.

When i lived in Northern Ireland I ran away for like a day and a half... It was after an accident that killed my best friend and almost killed me, After i was released from the hospital and my parents told me he was dead i refused to believe it so i ran away to the park we always went to and ended up sleeping on the bench and in the morning i spent most of the day watching people in a cafe. Then i went home...

Sometimes I glance at my car keys dangling from the hook on the wall. This urge to snatch them up, start the engine and just drive until the gears rust, encroaches my mind. I'll get this stupid smirk on my face and see myself on some lonely road with a light wallet in my jeans and a bottle of water at my side. Rolling the window down, I realize just how clear the outback air is. I breathe in and sigh, then start to cry. But I'm so happy.

I'm free. All it took was to be incredibly selfish and abandon my responsibilities, family and friends, but I'm free.

And then I stop looking at my keys, jump on my bed, and start typing on an anime forum.

haha bunch of 15 y.o's running away. They say it's the hardest teenage age for a reason -_____-

haha I guess I thought about it, sometimes planned it in my head at night.. but honestly who loves you more than your family?
If there's something you dislike. Just ignore everyone, lock yourself in your room and ur mom will naturally give you what you want ;)

oh jk, my mom will give me what I want :P

but yeah, really, little kids who think they can run away, plan everything and shyt... you're not gonna get far... unless you turn to more shady jobs... which you'd probably regret later.

I have thought about running away. However, I didn't because I accepted the problem and solved it.
