Early Sunday morning in Seoul, South Korea, Bill Kapoun was seriously injured in an apartment fire. As of right now Bill is in critical condition in a burn unit in a Seoul hospital. 64% of Bill's body is covered in burns. 58 is 3rd and the rest is 2nd degree. He will be needing serious medical care. As of right now he has to have someone in the room 24/7.

Here's where you come in: the medical bills will be at least $100,000 dollars. Bill's younger sister, Laura Kapoun, is a senior here at IU. There are also three younger brothers all under the age of 20 living at home, along with their grandmother who is also undergoing cancer treatment. As of right now the family has spent $6,000 in plane tickets just so Bill's mother and father could go to Korea to be with their son. His first surgery had a price tag of $15, 000. This family needs help. They need money.

not my problem, if i was injured would strangers help me? no and i wouldn't ask strangers for help either. too bad for him he got burned, you don't see every burn victim or cancer patient asking for money to help them pay for their medical bills. and my family needs help and i need money but im not asking people for money now am i?

It's fine if you don't want to donate... but I don't think the mean and negative comments are necessary.

thanks~

who gives a BEEP let him die and if his parents cared about him so much they would've just used the 6,000 dollars on his medical bill like a practical person would

wolzen has a point...

Anyway:

I'm a 17 yr old unemployed college student = i hv no money.

Plus, how do we know this isn't some kind of scam? I mean, I saw the article so plz don't come back at me with the link. I'm sorry but people fake this kind of stuff all the time, esp on the internet. And the media has been fooled before.

Maybe I'm just too cynical idk. It doesn't really matter anyway since I couldn't donate even if I wanted to. If this is real: then I offer my apologies, and sincere sympathy. I know how badly a fire can affect your life.

Scott (one of my cousins) just lost his house in a fire about a month ago. Tanya *his wife* was inside at the time, and she was in such bad shape that she ended up having a miscarriage (they had been trying to have children for about a year, and they hadn't even known that she was pregnant). They have to start all over again, they lost everything. And, it looks like their marriage will end as well.
