I don't control my thoughts at all, actually, my thoughts control me.

I typically find myself in a dangerous circle of fearful thoughts.

Absolutely! I feel I can control how I want to feel anywhere and everywhere. Sometimes I feel more joy and happiness with friends and family while I can get angry at myself for no apparent reason. I know it sounds sentimental or even bipolar but I find entertainment in that. I guess it means you can control who you are in any given environment.

i am in complete control of my thoughts most of the time

Hah! You got to have a thought and brain to control your thoughts! I, fortunately, do not! Then again this is a guy who's entertained by a hampster running in a wheel. If thoughts were so controled we'd have the unconcious ability to do it without so much hard work. Besides, what fun is it to control your thoughts? The way you think is what makes you who you are, enjoy it! And we all know it's not possible to control our thoughts on anything involving popcorn or toliet paper so why bother with the rest.

What foul necromancy is this!?

If you believe in the concept of a soul, or self-determining humans, then yes you can control your thoughts.
If you do not believe in a soul and instead believe in B.F. Skinner's operant conditioning theory, then no - you can not control your thoughts. You are instead a product of your genetics and environment, and in fact someone who had sufficient resources and knowledge could control your personality by selecting your genes and manipulating your environment.

Idiots one tip to controlling thought is not living inside your head. It's B.S to think you can control your thoughts by thinking of not having thoughts. You'll always be caged in thought by doing that.

The one way you can transcend thought (if i might say) is by living outside your head space and feelings. Don't ever be so inside yourself.
