It was a long time ago, but I'm pretty sure it was Tokyo Babylon that hooked me. I found it scanlated before it was licensed, most likely while trying to find Card Captor Sakura scans. I remember they couldn't scan the final book right away for whatever reason, so I ended up going online and importing the whole set even though I can't read Japanese, just so I could get an idea of what happened. Dragon Ball Z. I don't know if that counts, since I didn't know what anime was when I watched it. Naruto is what made me find out what anime is and get me into it. For that, Naruto holds a special place in my heart, even if I don't like it now. |

I used to read Shonen Jump when it first started in the U.S, haven't read much since I stopped buying it. But I loved the Blue Exorcist anime, and just ordered the first volume of the manga from Amazon. If I like it I will pick up the rest of the series that's already been released, and will keep up with it.

Naruto, I was on Hulu and I said "what the hell, this is popular for some reason." I watched one episode, liked it. Found out it was based on a manga, read for 24 hours solid....yeah. Then I found bleach.
