i look at alot of things for a manga...
1) i only read japanese mangas that you read from right to left.... not korean or chinese or english comics..... (i just like reading original mangas (not saying that the others are not original but english comics are out of the question...))
2) genre - i tend to only read romance and comedy.... i don't tend to read action coz i think that actions should be watched as a anime... with the sounds and the real movements!! (this is what i think tho... no offence to the people that read action mangas)
3) Art work - can't stand reading mangas with really bad art work..... (same as animes)
4) story/plot - no point in reading a manga if the plot don't interrest you....
5) sometimes the comments - sometimes i might be in between reading and not.... i read the comments that people put to see if it had good feedbacks or not.... to see if it's worth reading or not.....
guess u may think that im pretty picky on reading mangas lolz

The story for me, since it goes deeper than the anime and still leaves plenty of room for imagination and speculation.
I used to be against reading manga at first but then i gave it a try and got hooked, now i read manga almost on a daily basis.
Manga is like the perfect balance between a book and a movie haha

I don't care much about the art,
So I mainly look by Genre
and if only it can hold my interest for the first 4 chapters, if not, I drop it.
