any news about mika nakashima?

Singer Mika Nakashima has been chosen as the first Japanese person to be on the cover of Rolling Stone Japan.

The American-based Rolling Stone launched the Japanese version of its magazine last March. Past issues have featured overseas artists on the cover, but Nakashima will break tradition with the April issue (on sale March 10), which will also include a 4-page feature on her. There is further talk that Nakashima may appear on the cover of the U.S. edition in the future.

The magazine's editor selected her for the cover because he wanted a female artist whose impact extended beyond just music. Nakashima, who is involved in areas such as fashion and acting, was a natural choice.

She'll be releasing a new single, Over Load. I've heard it already :)). It's a very beautiful upbeat song. I can say that its arrangement is quite impressive coz it's better than the upbeat version of LIFE. :)). Its composition and its vocals are really great coz the music flow smoothly and constantly with tremendous energy!

She has released a collaboration single with the fashion band: SLY. She released the single in 4 formats. 3 formats having a SLY shirt in it while the other is a regular cd. Her carrier track CANDY GIRL seems like a Christina Aguilera song since the composers are Americans :p. SMILEY on the other hand is a new Mika genre...it seems like an exprimental catchy track.

She just won the "RESPECT AWARD" from MTV STUDENT VOICE AWARDS 2009 wherein she performed CANDY GIRL and Over Load.
