Hmm, while I like my suburban life, living in Tokyo isn't all that bad. It's not nearly as bad as living in an American city, and I'm so used to anime that I think with the Japanese culture when I write. << Yes, I've gone through it all.

Hell no. There's no point for me living over there.

If you're stupid enough to believe that anime is real life in Japan, you have no life.

Firstly, the language problem. If you think you're good at Japanese, just because you picked up some words off of anime, then again, that's idiotic. There's hundreds and thousands of words most people don't find. Just because you can say Hello, how are you doing, and some other random words, it really doesn't mean you can talk Japanese. Also, memorizing Kanji and the other two is hard, and will take some time. Its not that simple as most of people think it is...

Secondly, schools aren't like how they are in anime. They're incredibly hard, and frustrating. One person told me they wanted to go to Japanese schools. I told them it's incredibly hard. She said she was good in school, so she'll do fine. What she didn't realize it that the school system in North America and Japan are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. The education is a few years beyond the education in North America. For example, I've learned the basics of math when I was 5 and half. When I came to Canada when I was ten, my school taught me the basics of math, which I've already done years ago. Even as of today, I've compared the Korean/Japanese math textbooks with the North American math textbook, The Korean/Japanese ones are beyond, by about 2 grades.

Once you're done middle school, you have to take a test to get into high school, and have to take a test to get into college and unversity. Getting into high school is fairly easy compared to the university exams. The university exam is incredibly hard, and only the top students will get in.

Thirdly, some of the Japanese are very racial toward foreigners. I'm not saying all of them are, since I've seen a lot of nice Japanese people beofre, but some of them even have "No foreigners" and "Japanese only". Due to the nuke incident years back, a lot of the Japanese hate foreigners. There was even a new about some Japanese being very racial toward these bunch of tourists.

Forthly: None of you know how expensive it is to live in Japan, do you? Buying a house is MUCH more expensive than a buying land in most places in the world, and buying food is expensive. Mangas and Anime DVDs are about as expensive as you would find in North America, but they don't have English subtitiles or anything like that. Since they're living on an island without very much land, there is no choice but to sell their houses at a high price. The only thing that's cheaper over there is technology.

If you can overcome or don't care with these, then go ahead, and live in Japan if you wish.

Visiting Japan once or twice can be very fun and entertaining, but if you live in Japan for a long time, you'll see it's flaws. So it's better to just visit Japan, and see how it is first. Then if you think you like it, then go ahead. If you want to live in Japan, you also have to think about your future. Again, It's not something so simple.
