Aya Kanno--I was reading Otomen the other day, and I looked at the back of the volume where it says what else the author has written. And it said Blank Slate (oh, I like that one too!) and Soul Rescue (and that one too!) and I have all three series...I never thought that they might be by the same person, since the art styles for them all are so different. Now I want to check out her other stuff.

Natsume Ono (not simple, House of Five Leaves, Ristorante Paradiso)

Yuki Midorikawa (Natsume's Book of Friends, and lots of other little works)

naked ape (Magnolia, Dolls, Switch)

Yuki Kaori (more of a love-hate thing going, but I keep getting drawn to her stuff)

Keiko Takemiya (To Terra, Tenma no Ketsuzoku...it's a pity that more of her stuff isn't translated. A lot of people don't like her stuff because she did classic shoujo. But she does the real deal, not tacky stuff. It's a pity that she had her name attached to Andromeda Stories, because it's one of the few of her series that are published in English, but all she did was the art. If she'd done the story, maybe it would have turned out ok....)

There's lots of other authors who do my favorite series (Arakawa, Mochizuki, Tezuka) but I really one love ONE of their series, so I can't call them a favorite mangaka overall.

Suzuhito Yasuda - Yozakura Quartet (And the art for Durarara!! is great ^^)

In my book, authors don't really matter as long they have at least ONE interesting work to read...

Who's your favorite manga-ka(s)? Why do you like him/her/them? What's your favorite work of his/hers/theirs? And why?
Hm, I have only one favorite mangaka; Hiromu Arakawa. Well, she is the only manga artist I know that was able to balance the excitement, comedy, romance, and life lessons well. Favorite work of hers? FullMetal Alchemist. She showed the ultimate story of mankind itself, and that's what made it quite interesting. You understand the value of friendship, and that people die everyday, so we just need to move on and keep sacrificing. If you have dreams, follow it. Equivalent exchange - if you want something, you must first sacrifice. This manga had such a big impact on me, it even affected my studies.

one piece's write

one piece 663 spoilers is out

Cover is Saldeath and Sadie. They're now lovers. Saldeath has gotten really big.
Luffy expresses his thanks to Law; Law says it was a debt of gratitude. Luffy thanks him anyway.
Tashigi returns to normal, notices Smoker's condition and rushes to him. She sees his body and attacks Law. I think Smoker and Tashigi's bodies change places.
Law tells Luffy to turn to the back of the laboratory. What you're looking for is there. We'll probably meet again. There's something to be recovered, reciprocally (between two people. not sure which two he's talking about).” he says before vanishing into the castle.
Luffy's group runs from the Marines.
Sanji, in Nami's body, has his eyes turn into hearts. “Isn't there a camera somewhere? I've got to take a picture or something before switching back!”
Nami retorts from within Franky's body. Franky's aloha (hawaiian shirt?) is closed (buttoned up, I guess).
Franky complains about her buttoning the shirt, from within Chopper's body.
Everyone, including the children, complain about the cold. The severed head says to put a rock or a leaf or something on his head. He chants “Doron!” and coats and shoes for everyone pop out of nowhere.
The head is an ability user. He had been quiet about it until now because he liked looking at Nami's body.
The crew reunites.
Sanji, in Nami's body, peeks at himself (that is...her body). Nami, in Franky's body, punches him from behind. Luffy is surprised.
Sanji's group explains the situation.
While the explanation is going on, Sanji starts to strip.
Luffy's group laughs uproariously.
The head adheres to his lower half.
It's explained to Luffy that Law is a Shichibukai.
Smoker wakes up in Tashigi's body.
He starts smoking a cigar.
Smoker realizes that he recognized the CC mark. He's somehow living even with his heart gone.
He realizes it's the mark of Vegapunk's former colleague, the bounty-bearing Mass Slaughter Weapons Expert, scientist Caesar Crown.

Seo Kouji. I enjoyed Suzuka and I enjoy reading Kimi no Iru Machi. Something about those stories captivated me. I wasn't much of a fan when it came to romantic comedies and whatnot, but I enjoy them a lot now.
