Asano Inio - (Solanin, Hikari no Machi, Subarashii Sekai, Oyasumi PunPun) - Love his realistic art and his characters. Though a lot of his characters look a lot like each other.
Kyousuke Motomi - (Dengeki Daisy, Beast Master) - I really like the way she draws characters. |

Kouji Seo (Suzuka, Kimi No Iru Machi, Princess Lucia, Love Plus Rinko Days) Has a good understanding of personal interactions, there were times where it hurt to read Kimi No Iru Machi, because I was so emotionally invested in the characters that I worried about the direction. Two other things; even in his fanservice manga Princess Lucia the characters are engaging enough that I barely notice the panty shots. Another one was that Seo was commissioned to do a Love Plus Manga and unlike the others, there was incredible substance (for starters it was more dramatic than the other Love Plus manga).
Lynn Okamoto (Elfen Lied, Kiwaguro No Brunehilde) Drama, good interactions and she's not afraid to go the gore route. The best thing about her is that her characters are all flawed, there are no ideal partners and everyone has their scars. Its always interesting to see where she will go... |

the are so many shonen but for shojo i would have to say ai yazawa (nana and paradise kiss) because i can relate to the problems that go on in the story of nana, i love the rock vibe of it, and the fact that she doesnt have happy ending for her characters , and hazuki kanae (say i love you) that manga shows that not only the hot popular girls can get the hot popular boy. the shy girl has just the same chances of getting the guy. plus i the way the characters are drawing by both mangaka artists

Inio Asano- Oyasumi Punpun, Solanin. He has a very realistic art style, which paired up to his stories, can be conveyed as humorous, insightful, or tragic.
Matsuri Hino- I LOVE her art. Love it. Just, I have no words. When she drew Yuki with long hair, I made it my mission in life to grow out my hair. I haven't cut it in 2 years, because I'm still convinced I can someday make my hair look like Yuki's. Suzuhito Yasuda- Yozakura Quartet, Durarara! (light novel illustrations)- I loved how edgy and cool he drew his illustrations. Masashi Kishimoto- I went back to the first volume and compared it to the recent ones. He really improved in his art style. Ai Yazawa-NaNa, ParaKiss. Another grungy freel. Kanae Hazuki- Say I Love you. Her art is gorgeous to me. I love Aiko's character style. |

I'm sure a lot of people have said this already, but mine would be Eiichiro Oda.
I love One Piece so much, It has this particular feel that makes me excited every time something happens. One Piece has made me smile, laugh, cry and cringe (I felt your pain Franky) and it continues to do this to this day. |

Kaori Yuki (Godchild, Angel Sanctuary, Fairy Cube, Grand Guignol Orchestra etc...) and Ai Yazawa (Nana, Paradise Kiss) because Yuki's work is passionate and interesting, while Ai Yazawa writes brilliant stories about how life is in fact painful and not everyone always ends up with some rich, Tokyo Grad student.
