Khalil Fong

Description:
This is his third Album called Wonderland. It, has been said, from YesAsia.com, that he got his inspirations from Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, and Earth, Wind, and Fire.

The Feel:
The feel, is is that he went all R&B on this, and you can tell. He is an amazing R&B Artist. You, can tell his voice has even grown more better, than before. He put in his Album Cover book, that Wonderland is for one to find oneself. Some of his songs are upbeat, and some are slow. His Upbeats are subtle, like instruments, or the way, he goes about the song. Either, way it goes, he stay true to himself.

Tracks:
Had to search, but I think these English Translations of these songs are right, lol. Anyway, all his songs are good, except maybe only 1 of his songs. My favorite favorites, because, I could play this album over and over again, are: #1 Love Song, it is just amazing, just don't make no sense, for a song to sound that good, lol. #2 Enough or Not, most of his chorus in this is in English, you feel the emotion, on how he don't want his girl to go. The way he sang it, it is just like tears (the one that comes out your eye, lol, not tear the paper), flows, he hit those notes. #10 Sorry, the song, is so awesome, you want, to tell the girl, he is so sorry, lol. It's a very good song. Track 11, the bonus track is Ai, Ai, Ai, aka Love, Love Love in Acoustic. Oh, My Atlanta, this is like one of my all time favorites of his. The Orginal is in one of his other two albums. But, it does not matter, he even slowed the song more down, and it is just amazing. One, of his songs, I can't remember, but, it has a nice suprise in the song.

The Lyrics:
I don't speak Chinese, lol. I know a few few words, from watching drama's, and listening to songs, definitely his, because, I love singing Ai Ai Ai, lol. The feeling, I got, sounded like a lot of love songs. But, I was not too sure, because, whatever it is, Khalil Fong got that voice. So, I looked it up. But, I did, find out, one of his songs, has to do with Global Warning. Because, of his voice, and the way he sings it, I don't need to understand what they mean, lol. If, I do, I will look it up.

OverAll:
It gets a 5. Because, even, if this song or that song is not your favorite, but, when you press the play, the album, just makes you want to sing along. I say buy this album, because, I did, look below, lol. I can't help it, he is one of my Voice Eye Candies. Everytime, I hear, him, his songs make me smile. He sings with soul.

Who is Mike Jones?

Do I really need to name the artist??????

This was Mike Jones first album and from his underground work this album was much anticipated and waited for!

The Feel:
Its a nice down south feel from Texas and it introduced the SwishaHouse clique to America when he debuted. Mike Jones tries to display his lyrical and even experimental side.....from what he was like on his underground mixtapes.

The Tracks:
Mostly produced and put together by Micheal Watts the beats are indeed nice and rhythimic and they often incorporate chopped and screwed effects which sometimes are repetitive. With a recycled verse from one of Mike Jones songs........(Back Then..)and others are often a major downside to this album!

The Lyrics:
"281-330-8004", "Who? Mike Jones" or just plain "Mike Jones" are often what Mike Jones begins his songs with and then repeats them often throughout! If you didn't know the niggas name when you bought the album by track 4 you will hate and curse the day you heard "Mike Jones!" Lyrically speaking Mike Jones is mediocre he often is repetitve and has simplistic and reproduced hooks. Not to mention he actually sang a chorus, which is laughable at most, side splitting and knee slappingly horrible.

Overall:
This album was a huge dissapointment.....I was a fan before he came out with his personal album but this album made me question rap and I would even go so far as to say this album was the beginning decline of hip-hop (not Soulja Boi)! I give this one a 1 and it is infuriatingly irritating after listening to a barrage of Mike Jones saying his name the producers should have nicely asked him to stop......this seriously weakened his album and he will probably never recover.BTW if someone tried to give this album to you for free and then pay you 5 dollars to take.....leave it with them and spit on it!

Chris Brown

Description:
This album is Chris' sophmore effort, and although it may be a cliche album to talk about, I really wanted to do a review on this. To me, this album sounded great. It's definitely worth the price you pay, and every song is catchy. With the help of great producers *ahem* this album is going to be one of his most remembered. And as Chris Brown stated, this album is exclusively for his fans.

The Feel:
This album is very diverse in many aspects of music. It has smooth and slow songs. Fast and bouncy beats. The classic, acoustic guitar-sparked-by-Irreplaceable track. The producers really stretched the field out and gave Chris a chance to show his diversity in every sub-genre.

The Tracks:
Bouncy, dance-inviting beats like 'Kiss Kiss', 'Throwed', and 'Picture Perfect', hook the bodies of many thriving dancers. On the other hand, sweet, slow songs like 'With You' and 'Take You Down' steal the hearts of his young female fans. Me, being a producer, I couldn't help but acknowledge the bonus track, 'Fallen Angel', produced by none other than Bryan-Michael Cox. All the tracks were great, and its an album I still continuously listen to everyday.

The Lyrics:
As with all Chris Brown songs, everything is about his love life. There is not one song he's sung that's not about love. I guess the tracks are made mostly for female fans, but of course, guys can appreciate them too.

Overall:
All together, the album receives a 5 from me. I really enjoyed it, and the album received help from a lot of great producers (with that I'd like to add that you should always check out who produces the beats if you like a certain songs' style). Great job Chris, and HOLLA (I got tracks bitch)!

***Crasyjak's Review***

The Feel:
On this album, Chris Brown has gone too far Pop compaired to his last album. It's just another cliche R&B album in my opinion.

The Tracks:
The singles are great, the Best Song on there w/o a doubt is "Take You Down" words cannot express how much i like this song. But as i listened to the album time & time again, I realized that what makes this album good is the Cameos. T-pain, Big Boi, The Game, Lil' Wayne, Kanye West... w/o these people on the album, the album would be less than mediocre.

Lyrics:
All about love & the opposite sex... there is no range displayed on this album as the previous album has

Overall:
The album gets a 4 outta 5; ...Chris Brown's performance on the album, 3 outta 5
Just download the Hit singles, the songs with a rapper on it, & TAKE YOU DOWN, if youre NOT a teenage girl with a Chris Brown obssesion

The Album This is the first album from the "Making the band boys" and a good effort it's very light and substance free R&B, but with plenty catchy beats!

The Feel I get an excited and carefree vibe, I aslo get a oppressed feeling , with some tracks, where the guys struggle to sing songs out of their vocal range and with emotions that are not there.

The Tracks I consider the first 7 the best. I'm the reason- a fast paced drum inspired gotta get the girl song! Got me going- the first release off the album, i really love, great beat and wonderful harmonies, but not the best track. Come with me- wow what a mess, but again catchy beat with absurd lyrics:The beginning starts with Big Mike trying to sound sexy, totally unbelieveable!! also with Willie stating " he's looking for a honey dipp" OMG!!!!!. There are plenty "lets have sex or i cant wait to get it tracks!. There are two shining stars The Jam CO- STAR, mario winans touch! Everyones vocals are on point the lyrics are sweet, but nothing to dirty( i guess the boys have an image). The other Jam is COME IN< MY DOOR"S OPEN I really liked this one, it reminds me of Shai, an long ago R&B group. Great harmonizing, vocals and lyrics. The rest of the tracks are ok, no big whoop!

The Lyrics They are infantile, silly, non sense, but fun, energetic and sometimes very sweet! You would have to hear it for yourself, to make exact comments, as you know these are my own!

Overall I give it an AIGHT!!!!!!, if there were more of the boys involved in lyrics and production, i would give it more, but its worth buying( damn its only like $9) but if you love downloading go ahead. I think this first time you can swing both ways if you like( purchase or download) for you dirty minds! I bought it tho!!!!!

And for the record, I did DOWNLOAD the album for free, hehe. Them dudez ok, they're worth buying......but it didn't persuade me enuff to pay near $10 for that album. If the downloaded tracks really get to me, then I might buy the son of a bitch and support these muthafuckaz. But they haven't touched me yet, so whatever.

Name: Mariah Carey

Album art:

Mariah is standing alone in a grayscale back ground while wearing a white feathered dress. The word Mariah is printed boldly on the bottom in an array of purple pink hues.

The Album:

E=MC2 I kinda didn’t get the title until I went on wikipedia and found this
“The album name means "(E) Emancipation (=) equals (MC) Mariah Carey (²) to the second power". It is a play on Einstein's famous mass–energy equivalence formula and is the sequel to her 2005 album, The Emancipation of Mimi.” (wikipedia)

The Feel:

The album is refreshingly different from her other works. Though some of the songs sound similar, the album makes you take notice of her voice. Even though she didn’t use a lot of her vocal range the album still feels Powerful.

The Tracks:

The album has many catchy Tracks with genres such as Pop Hip Hop and R&B but what makes it stand out is that she experimented with reggae for the first time and like her other albums she has the gospel aspect in there to but I believe it’s a bit different from her other works on the plus side its more hip hop R&b sounding.

Lyrics:

Interestingly enough she actually talks about her ex husband referring their relationship as a private hell. In sum the lyrics seem to be personal but broad enough for people who’ve suffered similar bad relationships to relate with. I believe she even quotes the bible in the last song “I wish you well”.

Overall:

Overall I would have to say that I’m feeling the album so I give it a 4 :). She did it agian produced a great album to add to the collection!

Buy or burn:

Buy the cd cause Artists like Mariah are going extinct and Better to keep her original works to one day awe over.( sounds corny lol) Just buy the damn album and support the women lol. She’s been through a lot the least we can do is buy the album.

Album: LYFE CHANGES....

ima be quick... its not like Lyfe's previous 2 albums.... Change indeed... I just couldnt get into it... I expect more from Lyfe. This album was a great disappointment.

TRACKS
the beats are also very different, perhaps a little too all over the place in the production, too many range of sounds & tempos for Lyfe's voice.

LYRICS
i think theres something different about Lyfe's singing on this album. I definatly dont feel Lyfe's emotion thru his songs as i could in his prior albums, he's lost his hunger & edge. Honestly i feel he just ran out of good material to sing about.

THE GOOD SONGS
the hit single "Never Never land" is HOTT fire (nvr nvr land, rite next 2 peter pan, cuz nobody wants to grow old) & the reason i was anticipating this album so much....

Other noteworthy songs... "Will I Ever" is a good passionate song that i feel is the 2nd best song on the album.

"Wild, Wild, Wild" is a good song as well that covers Lyfe's spiritual-ness.

There's a song called "Its Real" a love/sex song... at 1st listen i wasnt feelin the song... but i paid attn to the lyrics more... the song is a vry good song... basically about Safe Sex... "Shorty's thick than a mothasucka, swear to god on my motha, Shorty shes a freak undercover, so excited i forgot to, go and grab some rubbers" "AIDS is real, dont care how u feel, we know it kills, so i gotta wrap it up...." anyway... good concious song

"Old School" ft. Snoop dogg... its a good soulful song that i like alot... only thing Snoop seems like he just laid down a rap w/o hearin the beat... idk... but Lyfe wreaks on here

THE NOT SO GOOD SONGS
"Midnight Train"... sounds like Micheal Jackson "Heal the World"... its a little odd to me

"You think Youve got it Bad" ft. Wyclef... this slow jamaican track is catered to & produced by Wyclef... Lyfe just doesnt sound good on it, tho Wyclef shines...

RATING
6 outta 10, download dont buy

Album: AS I AM- Alicia Keys

The Feel
this album is one big love/hate relationship type album that can take your heart & emotions on a rollercoaster ride

Track production
i like the tracks & the range, tho all the tracks keep are relativly slow tempo... (which is norm for R&B) variation exists from lite bass bumping tracks to Alicia's piano skills... its a beautiful array of sounds, not all too similar, but not too much different

Lyrics
I'd say the songwriting is good-avrage for Aliclia Key's style

Overall
8 out of 10.... i suggest all Alicia Keys fans go buy this... but if youre like me... not a hardcore Alicia Keys fan... download... its good calming music

II Trill: He kind of re-introduced us to what is actually means to be "ganagsta" or real or hard etc. I my opinion he was upset with alot of rappers who pretend to be thugs that is why I think he made the song II trill and that's gangsta and keep it 100 and so on.
From Supa Tight to II Trill he stayed true to his lyrics his friends his fans and most of all himself.... There are not many Hip Hop artists today who can do that.

Tracks: I can honestly say that I can listen to this album from start to finish and not skip any. The production on this album is better than the privious mainly bcuz he had more money to spend. My favs are "thats gangsta", "my block", " get cha issue","keep it 100". Also Like the fact that he showed alot of concern of what was going on in the news today from politics to religion. I was very impressed.

Lyrics: it's bun b nuff said

overall: It's not as raw as his first album but I still would give it a 4 out of 5. He held it down for the south and for hip hop in general.

Buy or Burn: I had no problem with giving Bun B my money it was well worth it.

Hm..... No post on C3 (Carter 3) from Lil Wayne. What's everyone's thought on it? I've heard lots of mix reviews. I've heard that it sucked, it was good, it was ok, his best album yet, C2 (Carter 2) was better. What's your thoughts? Personally I have only listened to about half of the album, and I think it is ok so far.

Namie Amuro

PLAY 50.8 minutes. The top picture of her in a airline stewardess outfit for the CD only. The picture with the police outfit is for the CD/DVD copies. It's nice and plain unlike the majority of photos with celebrities where they're all photoshoped in some way. Nice and natural but she should have given her booklet more covers than these two.

Short Description of the album!
Exactly what the title says. Namie is playing around and not so much being serious by the title and content of these songs. It’s all about doing what’s best for you to satisfy you the majority of the time.

The Feel:
The feeling is cool. I definitely dance to all of the songs! ~laughs~ This latest album compare to her others is definitely more Pop but still has R&B elements to it.

The Tracks:
1. HIDE & SEEK: A fun track of basically what the title implies, a guy playing this game with Namie.

2. FULL MOON: Idk what this is about from what I could read. It looks like to me about her driving around having a crazy adverture on a full moon.

3. CAN’T EAT, CAN’T SLEEP, I’M SICK: Namie can’t do any of these things because she’s infatuated with this guy.

4. IT’S ALL ABOUT YOU: A selfish guy always wanting things to go his way and after all of this, the girl gets tired.

5. FUNKY TOWN: Having a good time in Funky Town aka the club. ~laughs~

6. STEP WITH IT: Girl at a club. Girl sees boy. Boy sees girl and tries to step with it so he can get with the girl.

7. HELLO: This guys that’s crazy about Namie keeps calling and hanging up but she’s not steding him and keeps doing her own thing.

8. SHOULD I LOVE HIM: A question of yes I should pursue or no I should keep moving.

9. TOP SECRET: Anticipation, Lapdance, slurp slurp. ~laughs~ This song was...is the theme song for the second season of the show, Prison Break. LOL

10. VIOLET SAUCE (SPICY): You gotta play the game to get the prize…he he he. It's actually one of the remixes for this song. The only difference from this version and the original is that this version the music is ACTUALLY played by instruments compare the the original which is all computer and was the song to promote moive, SIN CITY in Japan. This version does feel like you're listening to her live in concert though.

11. BABY DON’T CRY: Incouraging song about life’s ups and downs.

12. PINK KEY: Being true to yourself and finding your way to get the pink key.

The Lyrics:
The lyrics are okay depending on the track…the content lacks here and there and ofcourse the lyrics/verses in English are poor in grammar. Even if the words are related to the title of the song, it’s pure nonsense most of the time.

Overall:
It’s a cool album. 3-Aight

I say these are the highlights of the CD…

FUNKY TOWN-Nice
STEP WITH IT-Nice
HELLO-Cool! One of my favorites on here!
SHOULD I LOVE HIM- Again, another favorite. Namie can sing a mean ballad!
TOP SECRET-Nice.

Although BABY DON’T CRY & PINK KEY are good and encouraging songs.

IT’S ALL ABOUT YOU & FULL MOON both get on my nerves a bit.

*When I brought this album, I got the CD/DVD and didn’t know about it until I removed the plastic off of it but the DVD is okay. It has all of the videos from this album and the clip which she did voiceover for the show, The World of GOLDEN EGGS. It’s funny if you can understand Japanese well enough.

If one should buy or burn/download…
I would say burn/download if you’ve never heard of Namie’s music. You can download it here:

or

Now if you’re a big fan, buy!
iTunes-Cheapest if you just want to buy the MP3 files
Amazon
YesAsia-Cheapest if you want to Korea version or Hong Kong/Taiwan version if the Korea version is not availible.
