Actually I do this to other things besides manga and anime. I have rather high expectation in things so if there is something I don't see attractive, I dropped it.
Even if it is the best manga in the world to be made plot wise, if it has bad drawing qualities., I'll drop after just looking at it's cover page.

i look at the covers mainly to see if its current or older drawing style. i'll be more open to a newer series, but if the genre fits i give the older ones atleast 1 chapter to pull me in

Yeah, I do all the time.
I can't read a manga if I don't like the art.
If the art is ugly, I get bored easily and I just put the book down and forget about it. |

story is a big part of a manga but the artwork is an equally big part. If I dont like the character designs I probably wont read it.

I'm sure everyone who reads allot of Manga has done it at least once. The problem is the cover art can be amazing while the interior is completely different and often sub-par. Even with promising reviews I prefer to see what I'm buying if I'm not in a shop.

All the time I mean I don't hav all the time in the world I wanna find good manga to read so I find the most interesting one and read and most the time I end up loving the series I find haha

I have done that many times judging a manga by its cover but if i think a manga is boring by its cover and read it then it turns out it really is boring XD

I use to always judge a manga by it cover... but I try not to do that anymore! I kept looking at the Blue Exorcist manga cover and thought, "this looks kinda cheesy!" I just didn't like the way Rin looked on the cover... but I finally looked inside and I fell in love with it! However I'm still pretty judgemental when it comes to art styles.. I like what I'm reading to be pretty!
