Marines are just normal people. You watch too many movies.

My father was a marine, they are above the rest
if a person never served before, in my eyes, they don't merit respect from me
I tried at least, and I will always look down on those who didn't bother to

I can only laugh at your misery since your stupid enough to think that serving in the military makes you better than anyone else.

You don't respect anyone that hasn't served? Your father should have spent a little less time on serving and a little more time raising a well rounded son because someone seriously failed you somewhere along the line.

Everyone is thankful for the sacrifices that are made by the men and women serving but it's just unrealistic and inconsiderate to expect every able bodied person to serve at one point in their lives.

I have all the respect in the world for anyone who serves for their country but people like you just make the rest of them look bad. You haven't even served and your making marines look like douche bags.

I think you need to get over it and put that (supposedly finely tuned) brain to work on something for your country. Just because you can't serve for your country doesn't mean it's the end of the world, there is probably still something else you could do.

Well... there was that story about the blind man driving a car wasn't there?
Ah, I'm sure you'll get in... some day. If it's really that important to you.
I've only have one huge disappointment in my life.
Last year. I failed my AS Level exams.
failed.
I wouldn't have felt so crushed, but I KNOW I did well on the exams and all my other friends didn't study and got Cs, and Ds. I was allllways higher than them. We did the exams with different boards (I HATE YOU EDEXCEL!) and everyone says that my old school took the better examining board.
I was in severe depression for a month. I'd never ever failed in any exam.
Ya, only one month. The depression lasted a year though.
The fact that I failed (in life basically) and that my best friends left the country I was like... gutted. Seriously! Ah! I hate talking about it!

You too, huh? Well, I didn't fail, but in my eyes, it's about as good as...
I want to be a doctor, and med universities have really really high requirements, they're around a minimum of AAB in three subjects in your entire A levels...I just got my results the day before yesterday, and instead of my hoping for 2 As and a B, I got 1 A and 2 Bs....That may not sound so bad, but basically, I have no other redeeming qualities, and i just missed the minimum requirement by ONE MEASLY EFFING GRADE!

So, yeah, that's one major disappointment. The other would be when I got a B in AS level Biology, and still got a B, but with two marks more, when I re-sat the exam 6 months later (btw, EFF YOU EDEXCEL!)

Wait, all my big disappointments are about my grades...crap...

Also, btw, where do you live in Saudi?

Oh my goodness.

You do know that post is over 4 years old?
To get someone to quote it is very very strange.

My life has been really awesome and it will always be.

BAUUUM BITCH'S. my most disappointing thing in my life was when I asked my mom to make me toast. The next morning I woke up and sprinkled some "LCL" on THAT SHIT. The next day I woke up and there was no toast and I died after I took a shit.

Lol. I didn't read how old the post was, I was reading through this thread and decided to reply. Cool that you answered though.

And thanks. Also, depending on whether you liked your stay "yay for you!" or "aww that sucks". Pick whichever suits you more.

@abel89

There's something called coloured contacts that can be used to protect your eyes from UV light and glare. Im suprised about how you managed to achieve 'one of the highest scores possible on my Enlistment exams' considering you did not know this common fact. I dislike how you refer to people who aren't in the Marine Corps as 'cowards' and 'lowly civilians'. If you didn't know the salary marines get are mainly from taxpayers, the ones you consider as 'lowly civilians'. Seeing that you have given up on being a marine after this minor problem then aren't you the 'coward'? A life without obstables is not a life at all. You don't avoid it, you face it.

The fact that you consider how you view marines as more important than anyone else is just plain stupidity. Everyone has a choice in their own career pathways. Whether anyone wants to be a marine or not is none of your business. To my perspective no one's life/job is worth more than another. Whether you're a cleaner or a CEO of a company, they all play a role within society which makes the country as a whole.

Judging from your unintelligent comments, it seems as if you haven't had any proper education. So coming back to your question, what are my major disappointments? For my first it is seeing people like you with delusional views.

I haven't really had any, unless you want to count not sleeping with the prom queen... I got shot down like the Luftwaffe.

The other day, I had a pretty bad disappointment in class, I had a student sleeping on his desk who started snoring super loud, to the point where people started laughing. So I threw an eraser at him and hit the girl next to him.... :/

I sorta recovered from it, I shouted "Hit him with it!" and she threw at him from like, point-blank, and missed! At least I was trying to him him from way down at the bottom of the auditorium, she was right next to him! Ugh...

Everyone laughed loud enough at that point to wake him up, but it was just a dismal failure in my book.

Haha, nice.

At least you aimed high and have no regrets about not trying.
