Due to poor grades, Aono Tsukune, an average high school student, has been unable to get accepted into any private academy of his choice. By exceptional accident, the only school to accept him turns out to be anything but ordinary; the school is attended by youkai disguised as humans. Fearing for his life, he attempts to escape only to meet Akashiya Moka, a beautiful girl who just happens to be a vampire. Despite this, Tsukune decides to stay at the academy, hiding his human nature from students and teachers. Tsukune also discovers that when the rosary around Moka's neck is removed, her true nature emerges.

First, let me start of by saying that the Manga for this series is by far, way better then the show. It is well written, the art are tasteful and the story if more in-depth and better developed. Although the Anime series is based on the Manga, it currently doesnt seem to do it much justice, and in some cases, doesnt even stay true to the mangas story-line.

Currently near the end on the first season, though the second season has already started, I have found it entirely interesting and captivating. Though I dont read that much manga to begin with, I throughly enjoy this series and look forward to its continuation. It is filled with creative plot scenarios, cliff-hanger type situations and clever, and surprising twists, which always leave you begging to find out what will happen next. As such, if you are currently watching the anime series, I strongly recommend reading the manga as well in order to do the series justice.
