Plot Summary: Okajima Rokuro is a Japanese businessman…in a town full of Japanese businessmen. His normal day consists of social drinking with clients and being kicked around by his bosses. He finally gets a break though, as he’s sent by his company to the tropical seas of Eastern China to deliver a disc. Rokuro is kidnapped by a group of bounty hunters, and reluctantly joins their group. Rokuro abandons his old name and adopts the nickname "Rock." The rest of the group consists of the boss-man, Dutch, Benny the mechanic, and the trigger-happy Revy, a.k.a. Two Hands. Rock makes himself useful by serving as the group's negotiator and translator. The crew of the torpedo boat, The Black Lagoon, do various jobs for many mafias around the port of Roanapour in Thailand.

I really like this anime because I like fights and weapons. This anime is full of them both. Here even church has weapons.

This anime was pretty darn good. There was plenty of action and it depicted the nitty gritty life of these mercenaries. The anime's plot didnt have something that drove the plot line other than the jobs they took on so there is no ultimate objective but it fit well with the anime. Some of the arks got pretty disturbing, like the ark with the twins that switched genders. That ark was by far the most disturbing of the arks. The animation was great and the fight sceens where well done. The music fit the anime perfectly.

Haha thanks to you "sailor" I managed to watch this all today... and by god I'm damn glad I did...

Haha, action pact, testosterone pumped, loaded profanity, down right scrums, drugs, gun slinging, and everything else you'd expect in your action movie + more... I had a great kick out of this... The first season was a really good introduction to this all. With out giving up to much info, it was just so witty, it didn't pull any punches when it came to the violence, and profanity. None of your mushy emotional distress intertwined. Just pure entertainment from start to finish... though the ending didn't really end with enough "umph" from my point of view. A must watch for the gun fans/action junkies... There's plenty to entertain all tastes palletes from any kind of action sub-genre you can think of...

So, this isn't your typical 13 year old "shounen" material, but it's defiantly meant for the boys to watch. HAHA!
