why blame the show? it is the kid who was stupid enough to try it's fault. i'm tired of people shifting blame away from other people.

That's how most people are, not really wanting to take the blame on themselves and look for a scapegoat.

i was being rhetorical with the question, i'm well aware of why, i was asking the question to those reading it to answer it for themselves....(is that how you spell it)

well, u can`t just say that anime is harmfull. No matter what happened, it`s still our choice(viewer) to think whenever we want to IMITATE the action or not. So remember this "THINK FIRST, IS IT SAFE OR NOT" and don`t forget "something happen to you that would be a burden for other people"

Well, I guess they got 1 narutard, so a MILLION more to go.
Thank goodness, the world is 1 narutard less, good to see the police is helping.

P.S. Sure, you can think of me as an evil person, every person have their own point of view and people like the narutards, what point of view they have is, you already know...

@ anime suicides. Personally I think no one is at fault here, it happened as it should. It's natural that the 'weaker' ones die. @ serial killers topic. It's just an excuse too say that they're imitating an anime to kill ppl , they think way different than normal ppl(psyco's) and have the urge too kill so there's nothing we can do too help it. Maybe they were severely molested/abused when they were young and can't handle that and so they turn into (worst case scenario)psychotic killers, if it got past that point I don't think anybody can do anything to help them(their childhood is lost forever)... so my point is 'if you can't save them then take them out before they take us out'

i saw this kid dressed as naruto who approached me and asked "hey are you japanese? are you a ninja?" at a local mall.

i said "yes i am japanese, no i'm not a ninja" and i started walking away, then i felt strange for some reason, turned around, and ended up catching a plastic kunai knife the kid threw at the back of my head.

parents immediately started shouting at the kid and apologising to me about the whole thing.

it's cute to an extent if the kid's just dressing like a character or y'know, shouting out chants or whatnot based on their role models. but once they start thinking they can kick your ass because an anime's main character did, THEN it starts becoming a problem.

*sigh.*
First of all.....Anime, manga, gaming, things like these. They were never meant to cause harm. These things are supposed to be a means of Freedom of Expression!!! They weren't meant for hurting others...
Sometimes I wonder...When my mangas are published and someone is reading them, how long will it take before someone ends up dead and I'm the one getting blamed? Yes it is sad, yes people should have more sense than to try to do the impossible, however, even if someone tries to get rid of these things, than they'd have to get rid of everything else that is Freedom of Expression. And what future will we have? Nothing...a bleak..and boring future...It'll be a true hell. The thing that makes us human will be gone...
Quite frankly, what's done is done...all we can do now is try to pass on lessons that we've learned for future generations, because if we do nothing and leave the image of anime/manga/gaming to the media. We know what will happen...They will blow it out of proportion, they WILL try and take it away from us. How much longer before someone seriously tries to get Anime/manga/gaming banned? We have to show them all, manga is not a means of violence directly or indirectly...It's Freedom of Expression. The freedom to express what you believe in...and maybe...just maybe...if you believe in something like: 'People can change' so strongly, maybe one day that belief you put in a manga will reach someone and they'll learn from it. It's impossible to predict what kind of lessons someone will learn from anime/manga/gaming? We can only hope and try to guide the new generations down the right path so they won't do something really, really stupid...
Once again...
Manga is Freedom of Expression. It has the power to help people...

NHK the tv network, or the anime Welcome to NHK?

also, as far as anime go, if the same number of people who're fans of naruto happened to read "Confidential Confessions", it'd kind of be amusing to see what happens from there.

i remember at an anime convention some guy dressed as Kingdom Heart's heartless took a yaoi paddle and beat some random cosplayer girl in the back of the head with it. when a staffer approached pissed off, the heartless cosplayer said "well i'm a bad guy. i gotta act in-character."

1. the reason people in Naruto can get stabbed in the chest and live is because they had special ninja training Naruto in particular is healed by the Kyuubi 2. In the prince of Tennis ordinary 12 year old kids can't do that, He's just really good at tennis! 3. What kind of moron stabs himself thinking he is imitating Naruto and is going to survive, huh? But really they can't really be expected to live long if they were dumb enough to try to imitate Naruto like that! It shows that the don't have the sense to live in this world! 4. Of course Naruto and other Anime are not really for kids! In Naruto people try to kill each other on a regular basis! A lot of Animes have concepts to deep for younger kids to understand! Final Point: ONLY IDIOTS IMITATE DANGEROUS PARTS OF AN ANIME!

lol actually the cartoon store near there did sell the diecast kunai knives. lol. and actually the point on the plastic one was sharpened which kinda shocked me. (of course since it was soft plastic the tip bent and broke off easily when my finger touched it.)

@echimaru: lol. or worse... nude prepubescent x-dresser anyone? xDD then we'd know his family is doin' more than just supporting one portion of the anime (messed up joke but ya never know).
