i think so too... especially if you're going to imitate someone like light from death note...
there has already been several problems in china because of children trying to put the names of the people they hate in their notebook(thinking that it is a death note). When the person written in notebook found out, he wanted to beat the crap out of the one who wrote his/her name... for short, the death note enticed fights in China... it may be so in other countries...

Death note is actually the safest of them all, they just put names in a blacklist and wait for things too happen.....unless they take matters in their own hands.

they really took matters in their own hands...
unfortunately, people were bragging so much about their so called death note(in china that is). they got seen by their classmates... there you have it, a stupid fight over a fake death note... (It was reported in a news and was also written in a newspaper article)

In order to get rid of a problem, you must nip it in the budding stages, BEFORE it gets out of control. I think that everyone agrees with me when I say that anime/manga imitation, and all retarded action taken afterward, starts with cosplay. Yes, I believe that cosplay is the root of the evil because face it, if you got the balls to dress up in a polyester suit w/ enough gel to spike your hair to about 6 feet [humiliating if you ask me], then yes, you have the balls to think that a sword slash won't affect you(cause bandage-wraps heal all wounds)---and neither will a fall from a seven story building, your flying-pokemon will catch you of course

He specifically named Naruto, saying that it "contains violence and caused a boy to take his own life."

Oh my gosh, Naruto has violence? -.- Also is naruto the first anime(or any moveie/show) this kid has seen?

This hit meh a few days ago. Ish Anime going alittle to far.

Example= Prince Of Tennis: So the Anime ish about Tennis but Do u honestly believe someone in real live can do those kinds of move >_> Like be realistic. You dont see a Twelve Year Old kid running around and saying "Im gonna be the Champion" COME ON!

well there are kids I know who want to be the best, champion and stuff. I mean let people have a dream at least.

(no kidding) I still remember when I was like a 8year old, I was like I am going to be the best manga (ka) in the world!.
(Through I do not run around saying that it would be too embarassing)

But other than that I do agree anime get too... how to say irrealistic for kids. They should problably limit the viewing age.
I mean be kids, watch pokemon!
Be teenagers...eh... watch stuff I am watching ehh... well not Pokemon.
Be adults, get a job! and I dunno, watch some Samurai animes

I must say parents should do their parts to teach their children distinction, my mom did that ever since I was born though I dont understand first but then gradually at a very young age, I can distinct what is right and wrong. SO ya, parents should teach their kids.

The Manga Murder (Mangamoord in Dutch) is an unsolved, Belgian murder case possibly involving a serial killer, referred to as the Manga Killer. The name of the case was coined by the Belgian media and has to do with the notes that were found near the victim. The notes carried a sentence in capital letters and in different colours, originating from the manga series, Death Note: "Watashi wa Kira dess", a misspelling of "I am Kira" (私はキラです, Watashi wa Kira desu?). Light Yagami, also known as Kira, is the protagonist of the series. In Death Note, Kira goes on a killing spree assisted by his supernatural note book, trying to cleanse the planet of criminals.

The case got much attention from the Japanese media.

On Friday, September 28, 2007, parts of a cut up corpse, the torso and two thighs, were found in the Dudenpark in Forest, Brussels, by two pedestrians who happened to smell the rotting parts. A short while later the two notes referring to the Death Note series were found nearby.

The detectives working the case were unable to identify the victim, because all crucial body parts are missing. What they did conclude was:

The body was only a day or two old when found, or had been stored in a freezer. Storage in a freezer is plausible because it can explain the surgical precision of the cut.
The victim is Caucasian, between 20 and 30 years old.
The location of the victim is very close to the highest point of Brussels, possibly a symbolic location since Kira acts as a god of death in the manga.
The thighs of the body were shaved, also possibly pointing in the direction of a psychopathic act, or the gay scene.
