Title: The Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service (Volume One)
Genre: Crime/Mystery/Horror
Publisher: Dark Horse Manga
Author and Artist: Eiji Otsuka and Housui Yamazaki
ISBN: 1593075553
Available From: Borders and Online
Age Group: 18+

As soon as you open to the first page, you'll know this isn't a book for children. The opening page of Kurosagi depicts a man who has hung himself from a tree, and judging by the amount of flies on him, hes been there for quiet a few days.

Enter the Kurosagi corpse delivery service! A group of five weirdo's from a local Buddhist university with some equally weird powers to go along with those weird personalities.
Kurosagi are more than happy to find and grant a persons dying wish and go along with the crazy and often horrific consequences and events along the way.

How do they find a dead person? Luckily enough, one of them has the ability of corpse dowsing. How do they find out their dying wish? Well, luckily enough, one of them can speak to the dead. There is also a mature teacher who seems to be the brains of their little organization, a cute teenage girl who is a graduate embalmer and some weird kid with a puppet on his hand that speaks.

Just like any other manga the book is divided up into chapters. The first volume contains four chapters, each an individual story in it's own right. They are all very unique, as you would expect from a novel with such a weird theme. It's always nice to read refreshing stories, without overused cliche themes and plot devices.

The art is not exactly great, saying that, It's not exactly terrible either, it's just not like your average manga art style and a little bit on the rough side at times. The novel depicts dead people, corpses, zombies, blood, guts, gore and some nudity, so it's best to keep this away from anyone younger than 18.

If your an adult/old teenager and looking to get a more serious manga fix and enjoy the urban myth style crime horror genre, then this is for you.

I've heard of it, I wasn't too sure if I wanted to check it out but I like good, non-overly-used plots so I'll probably read it sometime.

Yeah, it's a bit of a thriller, it's more a "paranormal" version of Neuro. Theres still a bit of comedy and quirks in there. It's pretty original and worth checking out if your 16+. The first page is a dead guy hanging from a tree, it's not really for squeamish people.

Well, a few weeks ago I was just going through justmanga buying random titles that sounded kind of interesting, a couple of days ago I finally got them ( I live in australia :'( ). Anyway, the most interesting new one I got was "The kurosagi corpse delivery service". It's about a bunch of random university students (very random) who find dead bodies and set about putting the soul to rest, in a somewhat detective/fiction kind of way (Theres zombies and other messed up stuff). The art is decent and the plots are pretty unique. Check it out if your into that kind of stuff.

oooh never heard of it but by anychance you you get ur manga from kinokuniya
