i will post 1st my vampire facts and fictions...

let me input some Vampire History...

let me tell u about Caine...

Caine is a character fictionalized as the father of all vampires in the World of Darkness. His story is based on the biblical story of Cain, and is recounted in the Book of Nod and The Erciyes Fragments. (what are those? we'll divulge in those much later, if we must >_<)

Genesis Retold
According to Caine's own recounting, his mother, Eve, was created to be a companion for Adam, and had brought the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil to him in her effort to fulfill that duty. She and Adam ate of the fruit, believing that knowledge of good and evil was Adam's birthright as the first son of God, and were cast out by God for their disobedience. Exiled from Eden, they lived in its shadow, and Eve soon bore Caine and Abel. Adam gave each of his sons a birthright: to Caine, the knowledge of plants, herbs, and growing things; to Abel, the mastery over animals. When the time came to sacrifice to God, Abel chose the finest among his animals, and Caine his choicest crops. But Caine's crops were not a pure sacrifice, as Caine's ability to grow and harvest them was born of God's curse upon Adam: that he should toil in the dust of the Earth. Abel's mastery over the animals came from God's gift of the same skill to Adam, and this made his sacrifice pure. Caine demanded answers from his father, and from God, but it was Abel who provided the understanding: God would accept no impure sacrifice; only the best of what Caine loved, which was not born of a curse, would be accepted. For Caine, that meant only one thing: his beloved younger brother.

Being cast out by God for doing as he was told caused Caine great bitterness, and he spat upon the Earth, disdaining and forever relinquishing his mastery over plants and herbs. He wandered, alone, heartbroken and in pain, until he found himself in the lands of Nod, east of Eden. There he met Lilith, his father's first wife and created in the same manner as Adam, who was cast from Eden for daring to question God and attempt to claim her birthright, rather than be subservient to Him and Adam. She gave Caine succor and showed him the power she had found, and Caine, desiring that power, fed on Lilith's blood to gain it. He then fled her house rather than battle her rage and continued his journey alone. Among his newfound powers were invincibility against Adam's descendants, great speed and strength, ability to manipulate time, shadows, flesh and mind; these powers would later evolve into the Disciplines which his childer would wield, although with far less potency than Caine possessed.

At this point, Caine was visited by the archangels Michael, Uriel, and Gabriel, each in their turn and offering Caine salvation if he would but seek forgiveness from God for murdering his brother. Caine rejected each offer, feeling that God was a hypocrite and that he was the wronged party; enraged by his lack of humility and the bitter defiance he showed them and God, each angel cursed Caine:

Michael cursed Caine to forever fear fire;

Uriel cursed him to be unable to dwell in sunlight and to live forever in darkness;

Gabriel cursed him to be neither living nor dead, neither human nor beast, unchanging, undying and ever without hope; to feed upon blood alone; that hunger shall devour mercy; and that his offspring shall war with one another, young and weak against old and strong, that he may be their judge and know what it is for a father to condemn his children.
When finally Raphael, archangel of healing came to him, he offered a path to redemption called Golconda, on which Caine could find peace if he chose. These curses altered Caine into the first vampire.

this might become a longer discussion....

Caine's Children
Eventually, Caine's travels led him back to the lands occupied by men, and he found the descendants of his brother Seth. They were attempting to persuade Seth's eldest son, Enosh, to be their king; Enosh, after many refusals, finally agreed to undertake a pilgrimage into the surrounding countryside, where he would meditate on God's will. If it were God's will that he be king over his fellow men, God would reveal it to him and he would obey. During Enosh's meditations, Caine Embraced him and made him his first childe, changing his name to Enoch. Enoch then returned to his tribe and informed them that they would make Caine their ruler, and to pay him homage. Caine accepted their tributes and vowed to be a better ruler over them than God had been over his family.

Over time, Caine Embraced other childer, though only two are named specifically: Irad the Strong and Zillah the Beautiful, to accompany Enoch the Wise. Zillah, according to the Book of Nod, was Embraced by Caine to be his wife and companion. A great city was built, named Enoch after Caine's first childe, and there Caine and his childer ruled over the humans and were protected by them. Caine's childer Embraced childer of their own, creating the Third Generation, though how many of these were Embraced is also uncertain. These childer, as well as Caine's childer (the Second Generation), spread out beyond Enoch's territory. Sensing danger on the horizon, Caine forbade his childer and their childer from creating more of their kind, and from declaring themselves the rulers over men. If men wished to declare them rulers and worship them of their own will, that was acceptable; simply establishing rule using their powers was inviting the wrath of God. Caine's childer ignored his edicts, Embracing more childer and setting themselves as ruler-Gods over humans. It is this that Caine says brings the forty days and nights of rain which flooded the world, drowning the humans and forcing the vampires to live beneath the churning, unpredictable waters, feeding on each other in attempts to stay alive. During the flood, Caine's whereabouts are unknown; it is only established that he removed himself from his childer because he knew he could not save them, and he wished them to remember well the lesson he had learned: provoking God's wrath is a costly mistake.

After the floodwaters subsided, those of Caine's childer who survived (called the Antediluvians) began to re-establish themselves, eventually finding descendants of Noah on which to subsist. The Second Generation set themselves as rulers of the Second City (which is not named), but Uriel's curse of strife began to manifest. The Third Generation turned upon the Second; it is generally believed that the Second Generation were destroyed completely, leaving no survivors.

yes, Caine's vampire children are called "childer" not a typo :P

The Curses
When Caine learned, through his own powers of Sight or through other sources, that his childer had been slaughtered by his grand-childer, he came to the Second City in a towering rage. Upon the twelve culprits (or ringleaders, depending on how many Cainites you believe were involved with these events), he cast curses to punish them for the murder of their sires, each fitting the defenses which the individual childer asserted for their behavior. These curses became the defining characteristics of the Toreador, Brujah, Ravnos, Gangrel, Nosferatu, Setite, Ventrue, Lasombra, Tzimisce, Malkavian, and Assamite clans. (The twelfth clan to be cursed is either the Cappadocian or Samedi; see below.)

Caine also cast a curse upon Saulot, who became the founder of the Salubri clan, though the curse was not intended as a punishment. Because Saulot had sought to end the slaughter rather than participate in it, he made Saulot the guardian of Raphael's promise of Golconda, and marked him with the Third Eye. He then cast a final curse upon all of his childer: that each generation they Embrace will be weaker than the one before. Caine did this in an attempt to prevent another uprising of childe against sire, and as a warning against the unchecked Embrace of mortals; otherwise, their generations would be so weak as to be barely more than mortals, and Caine would return to deal with his errant childer again.

Note: As each generation of vampires is weaker than the last, so too is the effect of the curses of Caine upon these newer generations. New bloodlines and clans have established themselves over the centuries which Caine did not directly curse; however, as they have evolved, there are Clan/bloodline weaknesses which are inherent, which could be construed as the intention of Caine to curse all descendants of the Antediluvians manifesting itself.

ok, let me tell u about Lilith

Lilith is the first wife of Adam and mother of all demons in the World of Darkness. This is based from Hebrew mythology.

The so-called Dark Mother was exiled from Eden before the creation of Eve, she was the first to taste the fruits of the tree of knowledge. Using her knowledge she created her own gardens, hoping to imitate Eden; she failed in her imitations and still longed for the paradise from which she had been exiled. While in the Land of Nod she encounters another exile, Caine and offers him shelter. She awakens the power in him and is betrayed by Caine for her efforts, who, after leaving her, returns with his descendants to destroy her garden and slaughter her children.

Worshiped by the Bahari & Lilitu, Lilith is said to impart her secrets to those who imitate her, choosing to challenge the established order and explore the limits of their own sensations.

A childe (pl. childer) is the vampiric offspring of another vampire, referred to as the sire.

A mortal human being is turned into a vampire childe by the Embrace, during which the sire drains all of his/her blood and then gives him/her some of the sire's own blood. Unlike what happens in much popular fiction about vampires, a vampire bite is not enough to turn a human into a vampire; otherwise, the Earth would have been filled with them long ago. A sire can turn someone who died of other causes as well, as long as the body is still warm.

The first vampire, Caine, had three childer, who in turn had thirteen childer of their own (then known as the Antediluvians, founders of the main vampire Clans. There is also speculation that the actual translation should have been "three times ten" rather than "three and ten" making the number of Antediluvians thirty).

According to tradition, childer are the responsibility of their sires. In the Camarilla, among other things, sires must tell their childer about the Masquerade and ensure that they respect it. If a childe violates this, the law demands that he be destroyed, and his sire may be punished too. The tradition also demands that no vampire produce childer without permission of their prince. Many vampires do not want childer at all.

Childer, in turn, have different attitudes toward their sires (just as human children with relation to their parents). Some hate them because of the curse they inflicted upon them. Some love them (for the same reason seen from another point of view). In most cases the relationship is more complex.

Some vampires scout for prospective childer, finding promising candidates in certain fields of art, in certain strata of human society, or among humans with given personality traits. Others Embrace with little planning beforehand, perhaps even frivolously.

While some sires are careless and leave their childer alone after summary instructions (if any), others take great care and devote time and effort to their offspring. In some clans the new childer find a strict organization with a place (usually at the bottom of a hierarchy) for them. The Tremere, for example, emphasize education of the childer and strict adherence to their hierarchical scheme (the Pyramid), who often require new childer to memorize their bloodline several generations back. In order to ensure a measure of obedience, the Tremere childe is forced to drink one sip of blood from each of the seven clan elders, thus coming one step closer to a full blood bond.

Childer are just about the only legitimate targets of diablerie; when a blood hunt is decreed, the sire is authorized to kill his childe in this manner.

and now, let's talk about the Clans...

In my vampire world, there are clans of vampires. Most of the clans came from the Camarilla, the largest organization of vampires, and possibly of any supernatural creatures in the World of Darkness. The symbol of the Camarilla is an ankh hanging from a necklace.

A clan (often spelled Clan, with capitalization) is a group of vampires "related" by blood; i.e. the vampiric equivalent of an extended family or lineage. A clan is usually a large group, acknowledged widely in the vampiric society, and not a small offshoot (which is called a bloodline).

It is assumed that each clan descended from a single progenitor (called Antediluvians) who passed to each of his descendants, or childer, his unique gifts and flaws. However, in the World of Darkness, it is also assumed that each of these Antediluvians came from a common source: commonly accepted to be Caine, the first murderer (some say it's just a heresay even among vampires)

The Book of Nod names certain clans as the original thirteen; the Kingship Clan (Ventrue), the Clan of the Beast (Gangrel), the Moon Clan (Malkavian), the Clan of the Hidden (Nosferatu), the Wanderer Clan (Ravnos), the Clan of the Rose (Toreador), the Night Clan (Lasombra), the Clan of Shapers (Tzimisce), the Snake Clan (Setites), the Clan of Death (Cappadocians), the Healer's Clan (Salubri), the Clan of the Hunt (Assamites) and the Learned Clan (Brujah). Other fragments have alluded to the possibility of there being other clans who did not survive into the final nights.

The Brujah
The Brujah are brutes and thugs with a bad, bad temper. Punks, bikers, metal heads, social outcasts and left-wing radicals make up their ranks. Their clan is an oxymoron; they're united by their rebellious streak and they somehow manage to remain in the Camarilla despite their dislike of authority. They can rely on each other though, and while their clan is largely disorganized they will rally together to help their clan mates in times of need.

Disciplines:
Potence - Superhuman Strength
Celerity - Superhuman Speed
Presence - Superhuman Charisma

The Malkavian
The Malkavians are insane. Their madness dwells in their blood and is passed from sire to childe generation after generation. Of course, madness is a subjective thing. Those afflicted with it might regard it as a gift more so than a malady. The forms that the madness takes run the gamut of known archetypes - from the loony prankster to the tripped out conspiracy nut to the stoic but sadistic psychopath who might seem outwardly normal and not reveal the extent to which insanity rages within him.

Exactly why they all suffer from insanity is unknown, but according to the Book of Nod, all third-generation vampires were cursed by Caine after the second-generation vampires were destroyed. One of these third-generation vampires was Malkav, from whom Malkavians come. According to Malkavian legend, when Malkav was killed, all his childer came to his corpse and drank the blood of their father, thus collectively diablerizing Malkav. He is said to speak inside each and every Malkavian's soul and connects them into one collective consciousness. This "hive mind" is sometimes called "the Cobweb" or "the Malkavian Madness Network", which contains each thought and memory that any Malkavian in the world has ever had (and sometimes is about to have).

Disciplines:
Auspex - Extra sensory perception
Dementation - Plague insanity on victims
Obfuscate - The ability to vanish

The Nosferatu
The Nosferatu are a walking horror to mortals. Upon being embraced their cursed blood twists and contorts the afflicted into hideous, foul creatures. When one looks the way a Nosferatu does one would tend to stick to the shadows - and that's exactly what the Nosferatu do. They seldom reveal their presence, preferring to move through the dark alleys and sewers where others wouldn't dare tread. They hear a lot of things from their vantage point in the dark, too. The Nosferatu trade in information and their library of secrets on the other clans is considerable. They're the ones you go to when you need to know. But it will come at a price.

Disciplines:
Animalism - the ability to control animals (even humans and other supernatural creatures)
Obfuscate - the ability to vanish

The Toreador
Decadent, hedonistic, shallow. These words might best describe the Toreador to an outsider but in reality they're far more sophisticated than that. The embrace brings with it a (sometimes paralyzing) fascination with beauty. Works of art, designer clothes and classical music are as vital to a Toreador as the precious blood upon which they subsist. Not all are content to merely admire and among the Toreador are many artists who pour their passion into canvas, paper or music. Their fascination with beauty isn't without its problems though. Imagine if you will a vampire who stays up too late and becomes fixated on the beauty of a morning sunrise...

It is said that the Toreador are the closest of the Kindred to human sensibilities.

Disciplines:
Auspex - Enhanced Senses
Celerity - Superhuman Speed
Presence - Superhuman Charisma

The Tremere
The Tremere are relative newcomers to the world of Vampires. Originally a cabal of sorcerers and mages, some outsiders claim that they are in fact not Vampires at all and they have merely mastered a form of magic that grants them immortality and share all the hallmarks that is the curse of Caine. Some say that their founder, Tremere, succeeded in capturing one of the Antediluvians and diablerizing him - thus becoming an extremely powerful vampire himself before then passing the curse on to the rest of his mages. Either way the Tremere are regarded as interlopers in the world of Vampires and are not trusted by the other clans. Despite this, they maintain a strong and increasing presence in the Camarilla although they are perhaps only tolerated due to the consequences of having the insidious Tremere as foes instead of allies. They practice and ancient form of blood magic called Thaumaturgy which was made only more powerful with the introduction of Cainite blood into their veins. They are shrewd, devious and utterly without remorse.

Disciplines:
Auspex - enhanced senses
Dominate - mind control
Thaumaturgy - blood magic and dark, arcane arts

The Ventrue
The Ventrue aristocratic and influential. The members of clan Ventrue tend to rise to (and be drawn from) the upper echelons of society. In the Dark Ages, the Ventrue were culled from kings, queens, knights and conquerors. Now, the are represented by the power brokers and executives of various Fortune 500 companies. As such their ranks are filled by intelligent, strong willed and powerful people. They are sophisticated and organized; they founded the Camarilla and still lead the sect to this day. They ensure that Traditions are maintained for the good of all vampire society and direct the jyhad against the Sabbat. While their status affords them comfortable unlives they are perhaps a bit spoiled by this and are regarded as old fashioned and a little detached from the "real world" by some of the other clans.

Disciplines:
Dominate - mind control
Fortitude - increase stamina
Presence - ability to be more attractive and influential

The Gangrel
The Gangrel are loners and wanderers. They can go for years at a time without encountering another member of their own clan, much less another vampire. They are attuned to the natural world and prefer their solitude far from the hustle and bustle of modern civilization where they can live and hunt in peace. As isolationists they have become very self-reliant and while that means there may not be any allies around should a Gangrel find himself in a predicament, they are less likely to need help than the other clans anyway. Such a basic and primal existence brings the Gangrel into a close relationship with their inner Beast.

Disciplines:
Animalism - Control over animals
Fortitude - Increased stamina
Protean - Ability to shapeshift

hmm...that's all for now.... *nosebleed from all those typing* >_< did i make it more confusing? err...oh well... we all have our own beliefs, and everyone is entitled to his/her own opinions, right? right... :P
