I was thinking the same thing. If we hear nothing more of it I wouldn't really be surprised. Sometimes reporters grab at the most fantastical component of an experiment and run with it.
I'm fairly certain many many many experiments have been done with quantum tunneling. So I'd really like to hear what was done different in this experiment.

There is no possible way you can arrive before leaving. It doesn't work like that. It's just that the fraction of time between departure and arrival is so fast you may perceive it to be that way.

After reading it i thought of stargate and how when they enter it you see how a part of them is going while the rest catch up . And i wonder now how fast they travel in that stargate tunnel :O. < stargate fan

Get a sheet of paper. Draw two points on both extremes of this sheet. Now draw a line all the way across the sheet from one point to another. Rather long, isn't it? Now fold that paper in half and connect the two points. That's your wormhole.
Stepping through a wormhole isn't a speed boost, it's more of a teleport. So, if you send radio waves or simply light through it, they would arrive faster than a human traveller. Theoretically.

i call BS on this. why well until i see it published in a reputable scientific journal i won't believe anything published on a newspaper as a fact and you all should be the same. it seems to me that you guys are too easily swayed one way or the other by the media.
take a step back and see everything you can before you make a judgement
