D.Gray-Man, Marian a soul murderer?
Posted 3/8/08
so hum in the fight allen vs road in the begining of the series wasn't it stated that if something else than innocence (self-destruct) kills an akuma the soul is destroyed by the dark matter?

so the modified akuma that General Marian Cross set to self-destruct when they become evil again destroys their soul? Doesn't that make him being a soul murderer? doing to oposite of what the order is supposed to do?

Seeing as how they have yet to explain the whole process I think you are just assuming too much. You never know, that could be his innocence's power, or one of it's abilities. Either way just think about it. If he had come up with a way to do that without the power of innocences don't you think that the main branch would be doing the same thing? That would be a major breakthrough on the war, so why not employ it? Because its probably an effect of innocense...

yes they are destroyed when they self destruct. yes he is soul murdering. and sorta no, the order is supposed to kill the earl and destroy akumas at all costs.

i don't think it would be appropriate to say that he is a soul murderer as early as now..we still don't know if innocence is involved in the self-destruction or just plain self-destruction without innocence..
i know cross marian is sometimes(or maybe a lot of times) heartless but i don't think that he would be that heartless..i think he may have found a way or two to make the modified akuma self-destruct when the killing impulse kicks in but at the same time saving the soul within, no harm done...just my own theory..no offence..

Not exactly. Its Innocence. Its the opposite of what Road did. Cross is an Exorcist. he is not a soul murderer. But Road is >_> Read the manga. I think it makes more sense in it.

well it is stated that its "knowledge" and that few know how to so it means , Multiple inocence fragments have the same power or it is knowledge and since innocence fragments are all unique i think he does it in another way, thus killing the soul in the self-destruct process

Well I think in the manga it said that he killed the souls of them and stuff and when Allen finds out he gets really mad.
