it dies here because the 7th is the last book ever and in the future if someone else makes another book like the 8th book by some "other guy" it would never be published

I disagree. That series is the third best-selling series in history. Think about all the other books that are hundreds - and even thousands - of years old that are still being talked about and read today. I think Harry Potter will definitely still be recognized hundreds of years down the road.

Also, DH holds the record for the fastest selling book ever.

So what if it's the best selling book ALL TIME? If there are no more new stories of Harry Potter coming out, there is no more excitement of waiting. As time goes on, there will be a new serie of books that will be as popular as Harry Potter now. After all the HP movies come out, the people who talk about HP will be less

sigh. Going back to what I've already said (what's this, the third time?) the majority of the best-selling books of all time are old. A lot are from the 1900s, though there are obviously some from before then and the best-selling book of all time, the Bible, is over 2,000 years old and yet people still gobble it up like crazy. These books are best-sellers for a reason - they've been able to stand the test of time and are still relevant decades, centuries, even thousands of years later.

You are a fucking moron. Read what I've been saying. I've been talking about BEST-SELLERS. I've mentioned other books, and yet, for some reason, your stupid ass feels the need to only see that I've mentioned the Bible in a Harry Potter thread.

I asked... Are you comparing Harry Potter with the Bible?..
And that's clearly a Yes or No question.

I must be incredibly slow here but...what's DH?

I understand those books have withstood the test of time, but as we all know, To Kill a Mocking Bird, the Bible, Catcher of the Rye etc, are ALL non-fiction. Eventually there will be another series even more popular than Harry Potter and even more fantasy based. Every year there are tons of new fictional stories that are orginal like Harry Potter, eventually people will want more than magic.

I know To Kill a Mocking Bird was a great book, I've read it and seen the movie, and I know that book is quite old, but since it is realistic and not fictional, it probably won't be forgotten. In about ten years maybe more or less, the excitment of Harry Potter will go down.
