Will thanks to a suggestion by one of my good friends and a Gazer Girl. I have reconsidered putting the GazettE fanmail addresses back up. But, there are some rules to this, I suggest you read them before you mail them Onegaishimasu!:
1. Keep your letter/email a reasonable length.
2. If you're writing to them in English [or another language], don't use slang terms.
3. Make sure you spell words correctly.
4. If you want to write to them in Japanese then, try using your own skills or getting a friend that's fluent/semi-fluent in Japanese to translate your letter for you. Otherwise you might be telling Ruki that you ate his pink duck <-- I thought this was funny.
5. Try to write about their music rather than their style. You could add a comment on how they look [providing that it's a nice one!!] but they'd much rather hear opinions on their music...it's what they work the hardest on and what they love to hear about most of all. Very true ^^
6. If there was a certain song you didn't particularly like then don't go telling them, please. It's rude and disrespectful. They put a lot of work into their music so telling them that such and such a song was awful really doesn't help. Try and talk about songs that you do like, and tell them why you like them. They like hearing YOUR thoughts on their music.
7. As obvious as this might seem, DO NOT write things that might make them think you're a stalker o~O. This will most likely scare them into taking extra bodyguards with them when they go out...or you'll get laughed at and they'll all think you're a complete idiot. Not putting anyone down, just AVOID this.
8. Try to respect them as people and don't write rude and disrespectful things about them (remarks as being fat or ugly, you know they aren't). It's unfair to do that to anyone anyway. Please at least try to realize that they might get hurt by this. Also, try to respect the fact that they have private lives like you. Just because they're famous it doesn't mean that everyone has to know everything about them so avoid asking them about personal things.
9. We all care about them as people and as Musicians, but please. Don't tell them, "Why do you smoke? You should quit". Or anything like that. It most likely will get on their nerves. I'm sure that the GazettE know what a hazardous smoking and drinking is to their health.
10. As much as you might want them to tour overseas, don't try and force them to. In the end it's their choice if they want to or not. Perhaps mention how nice it would be for them to do an overseas tour but don't go on and on about it.
11. Don't forget to say thank you to them to show your appreciation. That's probably the most important part and will make them proud of themselves.
12. Don't write or send anything that might be sexually explicit or suggestive e.g nude photos etc. Okei, just don't!
13. I guess keep yaoi fanart or fanfics purely to yourself and your friends. The members of Gazette will most likely be insulted and it may even drive two members apart if they think that fans think of them in that way.
14. It would be nice to send them a present or two, but make sure it's something suitable. Something homemade would be lovely and they'd probably really appreciate it, but if you can't make things for your life then why not get them something that they could use or wear, such as a necklace or bracelet.
15. Don't ask them to send you autographs, photos, cds or whatever. If they want to send you a signed picture then they will, but unless they offer to send you a cd or whatever, don't bother asking. Also, you're a real fan if you buy the cd's, posters, mags, dvd's as a sign of support. ^^
16. If you are lucky enough to receive a reply, don't criticize anything about it and don't go telling everyone how awful their english is, their english isn't the important thing. The important thing is that they took time to reply to you.
17. And lastly, don't be upset, offended or start saying horrible things about them if they don't write to you. They are very busy and get lots of fanmail so they might not have the time. But I can promise you that, even if they don't write back, they will appreciate the letter very much and be pleased that they have such caring fans.
