How old were you at the time?
Oh, man. I'm not sure. But we were still reading books in English.

What was the book called what made you decide to read it?
Scary Stories (to Tell in the Dark.) All the other girls were reading it and I didn't want to seem like a coward.

Were you ever worried about being scared?
Are you crazy? I stared at the cover for like, 10 minutes before reading it.

Do you think there is something about scary books which appeals to young children?
I have no idea.

What do you think it takes for a scary book to be appealing to children but not so scary that
they would be troubled when they read it? (eg. One of the most popular scary books for children is Goosebumps.)
Like I said, no idea. I don't get kids.

When I was 5 or 6, it was a children's book so it wasn't scary.

more like writing a horror story than reading them for me.
the first time i got into horror stories was when i was 9.
it was so much fun to let all of my imaginations out but.... i sorta got creeped out by my own story and never been able to finished it.
still gives me goosebumps once in awhile tho @_@"

Goosebumps weren't really scary for me.

I think the first scary book I read was Dean Koontz's Velocity; it's not even meant to be horror, just crime/thriller. Bearing in mind I was about 12 at the time I read this, the whole suspense sent chills down my spine.
